There is a house in the rural wilds south of Rancho Cordova.

This house stands well away from the road and shielded from view by a stand of trees. The modern architecture of this dwelling peeks surreptitiously above the green canopy as if fearful of the world beyond. This was apt, in many ways, as the building mimicked the attitude of its erstwhile owner, Claus the Art Dealer, who lay comatose in a hospital bed.

This house sits on the subdivision of a larger block of land. The extent of the property is framed by a wire fence that has been buckled by the vegetation that crawls triumphantly over it, a stark sign of the reversal of the lands fortunes from drought to verdant green paradise. Along the road, the fence line has been reinforced by a line of shrubs - again designed to grow into a green bulwark against the world. Lacking careful management, this fence line is looking shabby indeed.

The gate to Claus' property is closed. Close at hand a sign has been put up, claiming that the apparently empty property is protected by a security company with a tacky, buzz word filled, name.

The road is empty - a line of tarmac heading south. There are no other buildings visible along this stretch of rural road and the feeling of isolation is almost palpable. No wonder, perhaps, that Claus had been known to be mentally fragile.

The isolation is a blessing for the Awakened - there is no one to see their approach and no prying eyes to spy on their activities.

Surprisingly Lacuna is the first to arrive at this hustling and bustling street.

The near giantess looks around and can almost see the tumbleweed roll passed.

The Mastigos busies herself by sliding into the workman's roll. Checking out the house.

[Aurora]

Aurora had driven to the location, but not parked in front of or near it. She parked the GTO a little ways away.

Walking up, she is rather casual in jeans and a black tank top. A messenger bag was slung over her shoulder which contained the jump suit from the Bismark. But also a more dressy top, cause you never knew how these things would go. Combat boots were on her feet and her long hair was up in a pony tail. Her face virtually makeup free, save for some lip balm, cause chapped lips was a thing.

A hand was raised when she saw Lacuna, "Hey! Sorry I'm late, I didn't want to park too close." the messenger bag was dropped.

Had they decided how they were doing this? "So how do we want to do this? Are we both repair people?" she always liked to make sure everyone was on the same page.

"I assume so." she nods, after Aurora speaks, "We had several plans in the air, but I assumed this would draw the least attention."

Shifting her weight, "Is it just you and me?"

There was a nod as she reaches into the bag and pulls out the overalls. Carefully stepping into them, "Glad I held on to these then." she says with a grin. They weren't flattering to say the least, but this wasn't a fashion show. She was playing a part and digs back in the bag and produces a pair of glasses. Not prescription, but would go with the look. Popping them on her face, she was ready.

An eyebrow was raised as Samael approaches, she wasn't sure what look he was going for. "No overalls?" she asked, now unsure about what was going on.

[Lacuna]

"Aurora and I will head around the back. You try the front door." two prongs.

Nodding if there's nothing else, the near giantess will press her will forward, causing a lattess of interconnected glyph worth to hover over her eyes. The Mastigos blinks as the word's energy springs to glorious life!

Walking to the back of the house she uses her Sight and her hard one smarts, to find the correct power lines. Need to deal with the primary power. Then the back up generator.

Lacuna can breathe easy. The shabby fence line of Claus' property is not electrified. At this point, his security detail is limited to a big sign and a lot of warnings. Doesn't mean things might change closer to his house. The fence is no barrier - it simply takes time and a certain delicacy to clamber over safely and avoid the grasping weeds and hidden barbs.

Rural desolation gives way to the beautiful majesty of the material world. Sunlight lances down. Ambient heat rises up. Currents roil and flow gently in the airy vault above. Gravity pulls and pushes, caressing everything on its way to the centre of the planet's gravity well; a bird defies it, startled by the big woman's purposeful strides. Ambient radiation at safe levels colours everything as it seeps gently from everywhere and nowhere.

Claus' house is all modern architecture - sterile substance and no soul. At least that last bit is obscured for Lacuna, as she spies the elegant tracery of electricity running around the building and from it. Harnessed lightening currently flows into the building from some powerlines. Here too, is the security company's real defence - a web of sentinel cameras, pulsing with electricity, watching all the angles of entry. And hidden laser trip wires - their light infused lengths gleam in sight of the Mighty.

The house is surrounded by a flat, well manicured lawn, offering few hiding places from the camera's impersonal glare.

Aurora and Samael have similar trouble clambering over the fence. They have an easier time of it as they follow the gravel drive to the house. The tree's part, and there it is in its sterile splendour: all plaster, brick and expansive glass. And many, many, cameras.

Of course there would be cameras. But Campy had warned them that could be a possibility, and she wishes she had changed her hair color or something. Given herself more of a disguise, but, she'd work with what she had.

She hurries to catch up to Lacuna, who made the fence look easy to climb over. And one would think with her background that a fence would have been easy.

Go figure.

Once she catches up, she hangs back enough to look like someone who was following the lead of a more seasoned co worker.
