Meeting on the Rocks

[Campanella]

"That is good to know," Campanella said with his eyes firmly fixed on the other Moros.

He inclined his head. "Thank you for the offer. It may come to that. Or perhaps not - I will be trying to reach out to our Order outside of town first. I think it important she sees us in action beyond the confines of Sacramento. So much has happened here it is easy to imagine it as its own little world."

"As for the two... Renegades? I have nothing. I have not seen them since. That means little, though. I will be taking another look at the diner soon, if only to satisfy myself that nothing of that unfortunate episode remains behind."

[Langdon]

Langdon shifts uncomfortably under Campanella's gaze. Too far already? Probably. "I will exercise restraint. With that. It's not something I do often, just something I can..." A look to the side and frown, clearly not how he wanted this to go. "I don't plan on advertising what I am around town."

Worry shifts to curiosity. "Truly? I look forward to helping assess what has happened. Do any records exist from before? No matter how altered? If you would like a second to come along I will gladly tag along. Though I am more of a pen over the sword person."

[Campanella]

Campanella nods.

"Of course. I trust your discretion. And I'll keep you in mind if I hear of a situation ripe for your talents." The Moros' eyes glittered with something close to camaraderie.

"As for the diner... You are welcome to join us. I discussed the encounter at the last gathering of our Consilium and I expect there may be a few of the others getting involved as well. After the recent conflict this... situation... has caught everyone's interest. Its the first time we've spotted a rival group of mages - the Seer's never revealed themselves... If you want to know more of that, I'd suggest you seek out the Obrimos Sand who is working on compiling what we know."

He sighed.

"As for records of before... I am afraid there are none. The Seers scrubbed... Many things. Twisted many things. Turned history upside down. Ruined the Tapestry and Oracles only know what else! The Pentacle was almost completely uprooted, almost as though it had never been. But you may try, if you wish. I have and given up."

He paused to think.

"Aurora and Sand might have something useful. They tracked down the possible holding of the Thearch's. I understand they discovered... something. But they haven't been back since."

[Langdon]

The junior Mystagogue bows his head in thanks and understanding. "I will work to earn that trust." Concern shifts to interest as Campanella expands on the diner and the hidden Seers.

"I hope to join you at the diner sometime then. Hopefully my attempts to get attain an adjunct position in town will not conflict with that." Weary cynicism seems to be the right way to approach the Ivory tower. Maybe a Mastigos would have better luck.

"Sand is not one of us? Interesting, I will have to speak with them regardless. If the Seers haven't revealed themselves are we sure that they are done with their attack on the Tapestry? I will have to look into what records I can find. It may be fruitless but I have to try." With so much destroyed there isn't any option but to try. "At the Thearchs? Hopefully its nothing... too crazy."

[Campanella]

Campanella could only offer a polite shrug.

"I have only gleaned hearsay of what they found. Speaking with them directly would be more beneficial for you, I think. Maybe even organise a follow up visit with them?"

His time was taken up holding the Claus estate in one piece so his colleagues could pick it over before the vultures moved in*.

"I would be very happy to discuss your interests, as I am sure you would wish to know of mine. However, I was thinking we could hold that off till I organise a full meeting of our Order."

[Langdon]

"I will have to see about that. There could be texts that would help us rebuild." Maybe not the best idea but to Langdon it sounds like a viable one. Langdon nods in agreement. "Sounds prudent. Then we would all be on the same page and not have to find each other first."

A smile breaks. "I look forward to that."

Good to wrap? I'm not sure where else to go with this.

[Campanella]

"Good. Good."

Campanella smiles.

"I believe that the introductions are concluded. All that is left is for me to an extend an official offer of welcome, on behalf of our Order and the River City Consilium, such as it is."

Thats pretty much it. I hope to get an Order scene going shortly

[Langdon]

"River City Consilum, thank you." Langdon bows his head in thanks. "Interesting name. I'm going to guess some historical aspect to the city. Something to read up on."

"Thank you again for meeting with me. I look forward to seeing how I can fit in here." If Langdon were more in tune with nature he'd appreciate the park more. Still, its nice to see so much green, though it hides so much.
