[Hector]

Hector is up ahead.

He's standing near the shed, paused as if in thought. He could be considering how best to approach the Locus. He could be waiting for the others. He could be doing both.

"You sorted?"

He sucks his teeth, still staring at the sheds and considering his options.

[Tristan Hardt]

Viola and him are more alike than he cares to admit. He knows it. Still, it feels odd to actually agree on something. He should have expected another dead-eyed scowl after, though.

Hector has already reached the shed. It looks... different on this side of the Gauntlet. There's less information. When he'd come storming in to declare his allegiance some months ago, he could see what was wrong with this place as much as feel it.

"Yeah." What else is there to say? The time for talking is over; they have a job to do. "How we gonna do this? Check out what's out here or step right on over to the other side?" He feels almost called to do so. It had been a while. And Tristan knows there's insight to be gained from the Shadow. They're only looking at half of the puzzle, right now.

[Hector]

A mewling noise dripped from Hector's throat.

"Don't think we ever got a good look at the place last time. We had just followed the scent of essence right to the source and crossed right over. Then we kinda got jumped, you know? No. This time I want to check out flesh-side first. See if we can understand this Locus a bit more. Then we'll move on over. The font is right over there on those rail tracks. I swear, last time it felt like it was vibrating - like a train was bearing down on you... Well, it was I suppose."

He nodded over in the Locus' direction.

[Viola Jones]

It dosen't take two of them to say they figured their shit out.

"Want us to just survey the area around the Locus, or do'ya want us to grid out the railyard so we know every inch?

[Hector]

Hector's shaggy head turned.

"I like a bit of mystery. We'll explore our territory bit by bit. Right now, I'm focussed on that Locus. Just survey around the font."

His eyes slid from Rahu to Elodoth.

"I like to keep things simple. Get too many thoughts in my head.... No good!"

His mouth twists in a grimace as he turns to face the Locus once more.

[Tristan Hardt]

Brown eyes land on Viola, then shift back to Hector. "Simple, then." A simple answer for a simple process. Tristan strides out some distance from the rest of the group and starts poking around. The shed looks different on this side of the fence, and the Elodoth searches for signs and markers that anything over there had affected the scene over here. A dirty Locus, unchecked, could start seeping its unclean nature into the physical world.

Hector grunted in affirmation and joined the investigation. Somewhere along the way, he found a wonky wooden stick, which he used to poke around between the tussocky grass and gravel.
