Quick raises a brow. 'For now' is certainly an interesting statement. And, as he helps her up, he meets her grin. "Always."

"It's my thing. Being full of surprises." His grin widens, eyes practically twinkling. She's certainly dealt out her own share of surprises, but he can't help focusing on what can only be perceived as a compliment. Let's face it: humility isn't one of Quick's strong-suits.

Already absently undoing his gloves, he nods. And laughs. "So takeout or... waiting for your big reveal? Kinda feel like it can wait. You've been talking about this for a while. And, I'll admit, I'm pretty excited about it." Curiosity has definitely taken root. What could this grand surprise be? He blinks.

"Oh. Well, yeah. I get that. Might be good to talk about it though. For both of us. Trust me, I'm not squeeky-clean either."

Smirking, “Well keep it up. Always good to keep people guessing and on their toes.” And it was also a reminder for her not to underestimate him.

Laughing as she too removed her gloves, “Hope it lives up the hype then! Cause that’s going to be very awkward if not.” Oh how embarrassed she would be of her new venture was a flop. But, she’d try and make the best out of it, somehow. “If you want to wait that’s fine though.” Didn’t matter to her. But it would have to be later in the night, but she was sure he’d catch on to that.

An absent shrug as a glove was tossed on the floor, “It’s just some things are harder to discuss than others. Things you’ve managed to bury deep within could open new wounds, which are a bitch to heal. But, I’m game to giving it a shot. And like you said, it might be good.” But could she discuss her past? Was that some place she wanted to visit again?

The Elemental nods, offering a little smile. "Hope so too. Let's wait, then." He says, reaffirming the decision. With one of his hands free, he tentatively touches his face where Sera had landed her hit. It hadn't been too bad, but then... his face is his money-maker. It probably wouldn't bruise. Or, hopefully.

"No rush. No pressure." It probably sounds a little silly after the stunt he pulled with their fisticuff tit-for-tat. The questions and the fists had come on a little strong. Realizing this, he adds "We do get to talking? You control how much you reveal. No games." He draws an 'x' over his heart, grinning a little at the throw-back to childhood. "Cross my heart."

The... 'well-seasoned' aroma of the gym is starting to get to him. That and a sudden need to move again. "Ready to call it a day?"

Smirking as he touched his face, “It’s fine. I didn’t hit you that hard.” She teases.

There was a nod, she already figured she wasn’t going to reveal anything she didn’t want to. And wasn’t bashful about speaking up if she felt uncomfortable with the questions. But it was till nice to hear. The grin was returned, “I’ll remember that.” Gesturing to the ‘x’ he made. “Bad things happen when you break those.” It was the be all end all of childhood promises. That, and the pinky promise, sacred.

Dropping the gloves and beginning to untape her hands, “Probably a good idea. Want to grab our customary frozen yogurt?” she asks, hoping he’d say yes. If not, well, she’d go by herself, cause yummy. “My treat.” She offers.

She's right. He'd probably hit her much harder. Still, it was encouraging to know she might just be able to hold her own if cornered. And he hopes she never will be.

"Point taken." he says, smiling coyly.

Quick puts up a single hand and shakes his head. "Hold on... frozen yogurt? Sure. But I'm buying. I owe it to you after that last hit." What kind of monster would he be if he let her by after knocking her to the ground? His dad used to buy ice cream as a way of apology; it seems like the right gesture to make now, too.
