Viola isn't prone to excessive expressions of emotion.

After dropping the choice piece in front of Kid-Wolf the rahu backs off and lowers herself, resting rather....primly. At least for her. Her ears twitch and flick around when Hector stil umbels into the clearing
But her eyes....they're focused on Tristen and Kid.

Viola's not prone to emotional displays, but right now she has a very wolffish smirk as she waits to see just what the elodoth with do now.

The grey wolf's ears stand straight up, and he momentarily rises from the kill. His tail shifts back and forth in a lazy wag, feeling at ease in Hector's presence. But Kid's posture demands more attention. It's ballsy. A warning. Not the same young man who'd gladly shared - well, bought - breakfast. Maybe the hunt is getting the better of all of them.

Or maybe it's a challenge.

Tristan sees the warning, but isn't impressed. His eyes shift to Viola... she's content to watch. So be it. Kid brought it down, but this is the pack's effort. The grey wolf's tail sticks straight out in response to Kid's posturing. Yellow eyes stare. Hard. His lip pulls back to show just a little bit of teeth. It's a challenge issued back. A display of dominance. He doesn't move from his position neat the fallen buck.

Hector draws near. He is panting, his sides steaming from his long run.

For an animal, his posture is completely out of whack. The wolf is not the Iron Master's favoured form and here it shows. A wolf would be showing deference and, no doubt, expressing fear as Kid and Tristan struggle for dominance over the group. Hector could be simply trotting up to a family gathering when he comes over and plops down, contented to sit out the contest and catch his breath.

He is hungry, after his run, but even here the Man outweighs the wolf. Hector didn't join in the kill - and that means as far as he's concerned he shan't get anything. The spoils belong to the others...

Adapt and learn. If he wants to eat, he needs to better keep up with the pack. Period.

There will be other hunts.

Kid's composure is 2.

Tristan is not cowed.

And suddenly Kid comes out of the Wolf-Mind and into the Man-Mind. Sees that he's gone too far. That he has no chance of besting the Elodoth. Not here. Not now.

And besides, would such a struggle really be best for the Pack? No.

So, he backs down, snarling out a single word in First Tongue to the rest of his pack-mates: <<Eat.>> Before tearing into the flesh of the deer, burying his snout in its belly.

How utterly...

...boring.

Viola-wolf snorts, yipping a greeting to the awkward, gangly Hector-wolf.

Viola waits for Kid-wolf to pull away from the carcass before dipping her own snout back into its belly and tearing out her fill.

She backs away and chomps down, as quickly as Kid-wolf had snapped her offering up.

Tristan bows his head in a relatively human attempt at a nod. Kid had conceded. Maybe it's Tristan's own Man-mind that demanded they share the meal. To strengthen bonds. If the pack is to have an Alpha... one hasn't been established. Yet. Not in his mind.

As Kid and Viola both tear into the meal, Tristan regards Hector curiously. He hasn't joined them. The grey wolf stoops his head to tear at another piece form the underside of their fallen prey. He pads over calmly to Hector and drops it in front of him. Makes a short whine and starts towards the tender tidbit he'd dropped. Hopefully, Hector would be encouraged to join them. Tristan has but one goal: solidify.
