To say that Faye had been going through an identity crisis was an understatement.

More often than not, she found her mind wandering as she stretched in the morning. With feet tucked under a bar, and her head near her feet, arms stretched and grabbing the bar, her mind never slowed. This used to be her quiet time, when her mind was quiet and she could just focus on her body and the feel of each muscle.

But not for a while. Not sense she awoke that night set upon a different Path. Her whole world, the only one she knew, turned upside down. And there was no one to talk to about it, cause she didn’t know anyone else who had experienced it.

So her mind wandered over how different things were. Her outlook was slightly different, her eyes seeing the world as she had never seen it before. The very pulse of the world around her was alive and well, even the changes in the moon were noticeable now. The things she felt in that Tower, the passions that awoke in her were hard to pinpoint here. Here being the world around her as it currently was. The sheer primal wild she had seen and experienced left a mark on her. On her soul as it now was. How to explain and find words to describe the beauty of it all, or how frightening it was? And as such, everything in her life had been brought into question for her.

Was she where she needed to be now? Was there something else out there for her to seek?
Where her beliefs still valid? Did they still mean anything to her?

Faye the Acanthus had been a Thearch, holding fast to the beliefs of the Ladder. But who was Faye now? This had been running through her mind too much, it was time to figure it out.

Slowly she begins to remember. That night in the Tower, the night her life set upon a new Path.

The lights. After she wrote her name, the lights, brilliant and vibrant in shades of green and purple filled the sky, illuminating the Tower around her.

Then it clicks.

She wasn’t Faye anymore. The woman she knew as Faye was gone, replaced with someone new, someone she was learning about and growing into. Someone who’s eyes viewed the world differently. Saw the living pulse within the world around her, saw the light of life within those around her. Faye had been left at the bottom of that deadly sea that night, and someone else walked out.

And now she knew.

Aurora was who she now was.

And there were more changes in the air.
