Sure, he wrongly assumed he's gained some breathing room when Cross has backed away. Sure, he was caught off guard by that last blow, enough to send him to the ground for a while. Sure, it hurts like hell and he lost the duel.
But at least that damn snarl is gone.
Longstreet is on Lethal from now on, so - the duel ends and Cross wins. Congratulations!

StatusLongstreet goes down and the fight is over.
Cross turns away. Briefly. Just long enough to deny the Beast that sight. He knows that his Monster wants more. So much more. He can feel the fire rising in him.
When he turns back around, that pressure, that need to attack has receded. Somewhat.
He approaches Longstreet and extends a hand, looking to help him up.
"Thanks for the exercise, Bishop. We should beat each other with sticks more often." That wry, half-smile has returned. As if the fight had only been an interlude. As if.

Longstreet gladly accepts his brother's hand, brushing off some of the dirt and grass his clothes are now covered in.
"Fuck these sticks, man. Next time we're doing hand-to-hand, like civilized fucking people" It's not easy to smile through the pulsating feeling in his limbs, but it's achieved. Eventually "Now, if you excuse me, I have my dignity to find"
He limps away, out of the circle and into the gathering.
