Because flasks exist and I'm not really up for frisking folks." Partial truth there. It all depended on the person she would have to frisk.
Nods are given to Tuesday's comment. "Watching the clock seems even worse than watching water boil."
Laughing, offers a comedic half bow from where she sits. "Thank you thank you. I do try. As far as fire and swords versus suspension- maybe it also has to do with the illusion of magic? Like- with the first two, folks don't really know what it is like and so there is this buffer in their minds where they can totally remove the reality from the illusion. Call it a trick and believe it. But with suspension- not so much? Harder to tell your kid it's just a trick when they can see the reality right there in front of them?" Shrugs.
"That and might be rude to poach his idea without at least talking to him?" She hadn't fully meant resuming the project, more using it as an metaphor. Robotics where a whole field she didn't dabble in. But she wasn't afraid of trying something new... so why not try?
