You can’t ignore wounds when you’re planning another round with the Brood. Wounds could cost her. Not only her Danse, but the Danse of those who choose to stand and fight with her. She couldn’t let that happen, she couldn’t let them down.

So she found herself prowling the dark alleys once again. It wasn’t over one night, it was a couple nights. Looking for those Kine who the world forgot or turned a blind eye to. Those who hid in the darkness, just trying to survive. But little did they know a Predator stalked them, seeking those who sought solace alone. Without the safety of numbers, they were the easy prey.

She knew her Herd would be the easiest way to feed, but the risk outweighed the benefits in her mind.

The Savage stalked, clad in dark clothes and a black hoodie, zipped up.

It wasn’t difficult to find a loner, tucked behind a dumpster, their back to her. Before they knew what was happening, the Savage had her fangs sunk deep into their neck, her hands wrapped firmly around them. The struggle was brief, muscles tensing and preparing to fight her off before she felt the body relax. A soft sigh escaping their mouth as the feelings of ecstasy took over.

The warm blood flooded her mouth, and she immediately pushed it into the wounds that still marred her body. One of those injuries begins the healing process, the skin slowly knitting itself back together, the blackness that once surrounded it began to fade until the skin was smooth and pale once again.

While it wasn’t enough to heal both, it was something and she releases the Kine, closing the wound before laying him back on the ground.
