Everything was white.

White and gold.

Painfully bright. Sneering eyes that shouldn't be.

Perfection given life. Never for to be touched and spoiled.

This was Before and not After - because After wasn't coming. Except it already came, becoming Now, instead of Then.

Alice wasn't here, because this was never home - even with the twin decades living under this roof.

It is Now and Then and there is noise. There is always noise and it never means anything.

The soft veil of light hanging around the scenes is ripped away.

One toe out of line and everything was ruined.

A verbal barrage turned towards the girl, for she was a girl. Purple eyed and colorless hair.

Words pointed and sharp, jagged enough to rend skin from bone.

Tears fall as syllables fly. Warm living tissue drops, a wet smacking sound echoing over the barrage. The Blood underneath bubbles, erupting only to begin cascading down and down and down, eyes-that-shouldn't-be track the descent of meat and blood and bone, until there's nothing but fresh and fetid falls continuing on into eternity.

Amethysts-that-aren't roll back into their skull. Falling and falling and smacking too.

At the bottom. The bare bones bottom.

Only not bare because her toes are wet, siting on a rock that was bone, but not only bone but her's. Ghost flesh and locks to match, died and dyed red.

Stained with visible sin. The truth of monstrosity.

Fangs grow large, but not large enough.

The blood-water lapping at the bone-rock, moves, disturbed from under the surface.

Slower then snow and faster then rain white-white scales rise up, a serpent but more. A Wraith that was once made of ice, immaterial, caught and frozen in winter but now is solid and real surrounded by blood-water. It rears up and up and up - a monster. Rabid, animal and alien, hisses and spits.

Fangs far larger then hers gleam even as they are stained.

Maw close enough to taste the blood on it's breath...

frozen.

terrified.

alone.

...she disappears down it's gullet.

Into the blackness, rancid, spoiled blood surrounds her and sinks, in and in and in until there is no sense. Up is down and down is sideways, there is nothing and everything....and everything is...

...white.
