Campanella and Michael pair off. The moment they do, the Moros drops his duffel bag and assumes something akin to a fencing stance.

The briefest of nods pass through the Moros while his smile thins and his eyes narrow in concentration.

Michael backs off quickly as he realizes his chance to act before the Moros.

"Let's do this!"

The Archangel lifts his hand toward Campanella, a set of orange glyphs turning will to reality as he fires a ball of Kinetic energy at his foe to no avail.

Michael moves 9 away from Campanella and casts Telekinetic Strike against him.

Assumptions can be a killer. See this is what happens when you don't listen. The Archangel had made mention of his focus before but the words hadn't sunk in.

Campanella had expected a spell.

Or a physical attack.

He hadn't expected his sparring partner to back off and throw out a Strike!

Too fast for thought, the Moros scrabbled for a counter...

His opponent had demonstrated movement. So he strove to take away that advantage.

With a frown and a curt gesture, Campanella spits out a brown hued glyph that lands at Archangel Michael's feet. Immediately, the stone slabs under his feet begin to bubble, turning from solid stone to a viscous puddle of mud. And the Archangel is right in the middle.

Not too drastic but should levy some penalties West

"Shit!" exclaimed the Archangel as his feet sank in the liquified stone. He raised both hands above his head, the same set of glyphs coming into reality. His eyes flickers as he throws the sheer Force between his hands at Campanella, this time for better results.

A bead of sweat runs down his forehead already not because of the physical effort alone. The tension of being in a fight had its part in it.

Just a few more swings and it will be done...I hope I don't have to use that...

The strike hits, solidly. Campanella makes a startled noise.

Gesturing dramatically in his haste, the Moros shapes the air. The Obrimos is making his stand in the gelatinous muck so Campanella has to get him to move - and he does this by drawing the air away from where Archangel Michael stands, creating a void or pocket by means of his Art.

I'm foregoing the skill roll. Thats for complex shapes and I'm simply thinking of a cylindrical space around Archangel Michael with no air in it. And I think I have way more successes than I need for the task.

Michael may remain in the airless space for a number of Turns equal to his STA + Resolve while he holds his breath.

Moving in the mud will halve his SPEED and require 2 successes on an Extended STR + Athletics roll -5 to leave/move out of since he chose to remain and sink into it.

The Obrimos struggles desperately to get the hell out of the muddy airless area created by Campanella. It is clear that keep moving will work best for him. The struggles prove fruitless as the Moro's trap hold the Obrimos still.
