    The Nox Populi Nightclub.
In the heart of downtown Sacramento there is a place of intrigue, excitement and entertainment. The modern flare of this venue is host to exclusive parties. The seduction of this establishment may take you away as you drink, dance and socialize. There are private services available upon request. The best DJ’s in town are in line to play a wide variety of music. Some of you may dine…as long as you have your VIP pass.

As Kindred arrive at Nox, they are discreetly met and led to the back of the club; some may recognize the area leading to rear stairs upward. The space downstairs is decorated in dark, rich woods and expensive furniture. There's a coat room that will also hold one's 'unmentionables'; namely, weapons, at the foot of the stairs. There are also private areas, dark, and furnished with soft couches, as well as meeting rooms with conference tables and chairs, and an area with several televisions. The Court area is decorated with long black and purple silken drapes cascading from floor to ceiling. Draped in elegant bunches and gathered into valances across door frames and between supporting pillars; the lighting is intentionally low, and the dull throb of music upstairs creates a low, rumbling pulse.

The common area circles the Court proper, and it becomes apparent that this is not decorated for a single evening. Small symbols note areas for Kindred only that branch off of the Commons, which will be necessary once those Kine privileged enough to see behind the Masquerade filter in: ghouls, herd members, or even devotees.

Another evening; another Danse. For some it will their first, for some it shall be their last. After all, this is the Prince's Elysium, and subject to the Laws of the Domain.

The furniture has been rearranged yet again. Now a set of elegant chairs, all dark wood and red leather, have been arranged in a circle. The baroque lighting leaves the corners of the Elysium commons in deep shadow.

Eternal Court is open once more...

Please remember that Predator's Taint is in effect and role-play is expected, or rolls will be asked for!

This is a great place to get Acknowledged

He mouthed the words of a song's chorus as he treads down the stairs into Elysium. One of his own would be here tonight, and he hated being late. Dressed as he usually is for such occasions, nicely whilst avoiding ties, he regarded the quiet room. Maybe I'll also be the first to leave. Wouldn't that be a novel concept.

It was too bad there wasn't any artwork to enjoy while he waited for others to arrive.

Dressed in slacks and a dark blue dress shirt Jax makes his way down the stairs and into this new environment. Into the commons he walks and makes note of the other kindred in the room. Not knowing anyone or what to do as he waits Jax attempts to talk to this man and find his Priscus. He is quite early for the event, so he may not find what he seeks for a while.

"Good evening sir, I was wondering if you might be able to point me in the direction of Jacob Maddox. I am suppose to meet with him this evening."

An unfamiliar Beast. His own uttering its reprehensible rancor in protest to the restraint of murderous impulses. But, such was their lot in (un)life.
He masked the internal proceedings with a meaningless smile, "I think with our powers combined we might just." Jacob extended a hand to shake, "good to meet you Dr. Culmet. I'm the one you're looking for, why don't we try and get the messy business of acknowledgment out of the way so you can meet the rest of our little ensemble?" Jacob gestures as he speakes, directing attention towards couches in the corner of the room, and starts walking in their direction.

"What brings you to Sacremento?" He spoke offhandedly, but it was good to get some kind of rough baseline (if not in the technical sense of the word) before getting into the bones of acknowledgment.

Jax takes Jacobs lead and heads toward the couch. After being asked the question Jax takes a moment and sits down, pausing to think of a way to word his answer.

".. I've come up with a new research project within the order we both belong to, and being in a place that is historically been known for immigration of people from Asia I thought Sacramento would be a good base of sorts to start research."

After answering, Jax glances at Jacob to see if he understands just what he is talking about. If he is apart of the order and an academic surely he knows about the brides of Dracula.

Then sun rose, the sun set, and the cycle of life and death continued.

Deep within the bowels of a dilapidated industrial complex, in the scarred and pitted remains of a porcelain bathing tub, Scylla awoke. Tonight was the night she had been called upon to appear before the Court of Sacramento, but one of many miles along the road of perpetual beginnings that all beings walked. And so, each movement taken with care, for this leg of her journey was tread along the edge of a precipice, Scylla donned her attire, took up the wrapped bundle of her axes, and set out for the nightclub, distinctly missing the presence of Macha on her shoulder.

When she finally made it to the Nox Populii, and stalked inside, she marveled at the men and women around her, so blind to the world that she knew, so many of them praying over the shining screens in their hands, while all around them a wild revel was in full swing. It made her hackles rise, this building filled with deafening, throbbing sound, the storm of pulsing lights, and the shouting, laughing mass of humanity surging around her like an angry sea.

But then she was being guided aside, escorted by some minion of the Elysium, no doubt drawn to her by the leather vest, battle skirt, and gladiator sandals that she wore, not to mention the wrapped bundle in her arms. Reluctantly, Scylla parted with the package, handing it over to the "VIP" coat check, and then descended down, and down, into the Court.

Her fists clenched tight twice, the press of the Beast growing as she felt the bestial hunger and fear from other predators of the night, but she was a Stormcrow, a follower of the Phantom Queen, and so she was not tempted into bloody frenzy, nor was she tempted into cowardice.

Shrugging on her warrior's and her acolyte's mantles, she approached the two conversing men, loudly interrupting them.

"Ho, I seek Draco. Were it that he is not here, then I seek the Vox Draconis, for I am Scylla, and I have arrived on their summons."
    Scylla. Gangrel. Stormcrow. Crone.

    Robert Longstreet

It was eleven nights since Robert had arrived in the Domain of Sacramento, as per his superiors' orders. He's begun to set up a network of contacts among the kine and kicked out some half-brained thugs from an apartment in the "bad part of town".

Bad part of town, yeah, right. An infinite mass of humans just waiting for someone to bring them purpose and willing to do just about anything in return. What's bad about that? Anyway, it was about time to finally get Acknowledged and establish contact with the other Damned. Subtle signs in the city's landscape - invisible to most, but plain to see for those who knew where to look - told him where and when the Court is held, so that's where he went, wearing his best (if old-fashioned) suit and a trench coat, with a finishing touch of a silver cross around his neck. Driving up to Nox Populi, he was lead further into this belly of a growling, pulsating monster, but only after he reluctantly syrendered hos coat, along with the shape of a revolver in its pocket.

He's found the Court empty but for three individuals. At the man in the blue shirt, his Beast growled in anticipation, sensing an equal. The tie-less man was a riddle, and at him, the Beast just stared, showing Its teeth, not sure what It sees. The only woman in the room, who called herself Scylla, was perhaps the most unnerving. The attire would look silly on most other people, but for her it seemed like the most natural thing, making her look like a warrior-priestess of old. The Beast within her was clearly stronger, so Robert's own has made a step back, assuming a defensive position. And the voice... it was not about the tone, but who in the blazes talks like that? Vox Draconis? What's that? Was that woman a Dragon? She had more of a Crone aura around her, but one can never be sure.

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I don't know this Draco you speak of, but I came here to meet the Nosferatu Priscus. I heard she can be found here. But where are my manners? Robert Longstreet, a Legate of the Church Eternal of San Diego" He said, extending his hand to those present.

He knew he was first felt, rather than seen, the repulsive aura of a killer in the air about him, so he tried to make a nice impression. Not many tolerated the Nosferatu, and the Faithful of Sacramento are few and miserable, so there was no reason to give them a reason to oppose him... yet.

Growing impatient with the unwanted interruptions, and wanting to finish his acknowledgement Jax retorts with his typical teacher voice.

"I know not who the two of you seek. However seeing as we are the only ones here perhaps if you will sit and wait they might come to you."

    Curse

Past her Albinism, Alice is naught but a doll, beautiful in her impossible perfection. Taking on a inescapable sheen of artifice, both movements and manner seem, hollow and fake. She's nothing but a marionette, limbs jerking and twisting as if pulled by invisible strings.

Marring her unnatural beauty are her eyes, or the lack of them, vacant pits of visceral horror.

Alice was in the shadows, Wearing black upon black, a fitted pussy bow blouse and slacks, not a true Cloak, but close. No beast to press against the others, and drawn away from the light of Elysium proper, hidden in the hall that lead to her office she awaited the Kindred that would make an appearance tonight.

Saturday, the first of April. The night that Alice told Scylla to make an appearance, Alice hoped that there would be a crowd gathered, so the Stormcrow could make a truly spectacular entrance.

It was footsteps under the pulse of the Nox's primal pulse that alerted her that the others were beginning to gather. No thrashing from the Wraith, but with Lyssa's whispered word she knew the first face was Maddox, the Default Shadow Priscus. Not long after and the Wraith coiled only to give the weakly a dismissive flick of it's tail.

This weakling looking for Maddox, and finds him with the first question asked. If that wasn't a sign the gods were watching, Alice didn't know what was.

Next comes Scylla. The Wraith rears back, it's fangs descending at the presence of her rival! The Wraith already tasted victory and vitae and rot, and wanted more! Alice steps forward, Her heels clicking sharply. With what Ale and Vivian had said about heels being a weapon of their own, Alice knew that if she forgot about her little fang, she wouldn't forget her heels. Drawling closer to the weakling shadow, Alice presses the ice bound Wraith back behind it's cold iron bars and approaches the warrior. Lamenting that there wasn't the crowd that Alice had hoped to see the Stormcrow's entrance, "I hear you Scylla Stormcrow. Prince Clarke hasn't yet made an appearance, nor has any of Clan Gangrel." which meant that she would handle her Acknowledgement.

A Nosferatu, assuming his words were to be held as truth, appears shortly thereafter. "I am the only Nosferatu in the Domain," which made her Priscus, but unlike Maddox when there had been more then just she, it was decided she would lead the Clan. Without sunglasses or a silken ribbon to hide her eye-that-weren't, her turns her face, and her empty sockets to the man. "Seneschal Hart." she answers this cousin, who feels like a killer, but everyone here was one. Lucky this priest was, that people felt his threat even as his paltry beast whines. Dismissing the mewling thing, Alice focuses on was that this man, a priest had Robert's name. A lance of pain pierces her heart, and Alice doesn't know what this means...or more importantly, what the gods mean by placing this mewling thing with Robert's name in her path. "By Draco, she means the Prince. Or did you not know that Prince Clarke, the man who'd Domain you have entered is of the Ordo Dracul?"

So may bee's, so busily buzzing about. All the new presences set his teeth on edge, he held a hand up to indicate to Jax that he would handle it. Jax's response was notable, however, and he was far from unhappy to have a chance like this to gauge him. The distaction was well timed, the research topic would have him dwell on things he'd rather not.

He looked first at what the inside feared, a cultist to be sure -- probably an old one. Literally, nobody else spoke like that. He was about to respond when Alice entered the fray. Well that sorted itself out. "Senschal Hart, good evening." He stood a bowed, before returning to his seat. With the distraction over he returned his attention to Jax.

"An interesting topic to cover. Well then we may as well get into the meat of things. Are you familiar with the Laws of the Domain? If not," he points to one of the many locations they are pinned, "take the chance to familiarize yourself now. If you have any questions let me know."
