(Good Guys) Do Things the Right Way

“Yes.” She says before making her way to the back of the van. Grabbing the straps she works at making secure ties.

And then…aw shit, night manager. She knew the gun fire would draw attention, and this was not what they needed right now. She was pretty sure he hadn’t seen her, so she stays in the back of the van, counting on Victoria to handle him. Maybe depending a little too much on Victoria this night. Which has quickly gone to shit. But she was no charmer, and this guy needed to be assured and charmed that everything was ok.

Wasn't sure if you wanted me to roll for tying the guy up...and wasn't sure what to roll for it too:P

When it rains it pours.

The night manager actually came around a little faster than she feared that he would. This could be a problem, a big one. If he saw them leave it would defeat the whole purpose of trying to cover this up.

She put away her phone and made her way to the door and she only hoped that the security guard wasn't too trigger happy. When she came around the corner she will lock eyes with the man.

"Freeze, do not speak and take no action." she commanded.

Perhaps there would be some time to shuffle some memories around a bit and still salvage things.

...feeling the shroud gather around him, and steps outside. Walking in a shallow arc towards the security guard. There was still the tapes to deal with, and the ransacked interior of the storage garage.

The night manager, bald and flabby, holding his weapon lightly in his hands, pulls up when Vicki emerges from the garage. It is enough of an opening and the Ventrue takes advantage.

The shotgun clatters uselessly to the ground as the night manager freezes in place. If his mouth hangs open too long, he'll wind up drooling like an idiot.

In the van, Alessandra securely restrains their two prisoners quite easily.

Jacob

In order to save some time...

Assuming Jacob heads directly for the office, he will discover that the storage facility has a quality camera system, that has been severely neglected over the years. In addition to some faulty cameras, it has also been disabled. Clearly the night manager was an ally of sorts to the hunters and had done his part to cover up their time in the garage.

Ale jumps out of the van when she hears Victoria speak, looking towards the night manager. It was a small relief to see him drop his weapon and not move. Not wanting to stand around, she will move to pick up his dropped shotgun, he was safer without it. And there had been enough gun fire for one night.

When she is able, she will also move into the unit to grab anything that might give them some info one who these guys were and what they were after.

The Gangrel easily retrieved the weapon - a simple pump action device that looked curiously well maintained for such an establishment. At least someone on staff took care of their equipment. The night manager didn't even notice Ale; all his attention was on Victoria - a drooling slave, stripped of will.

Ale returned to the garage for one last sweep. Like Robert Cross, Victoria and Jacob before her, Ale looked over the cork boards for clues as to the hunter's purpose. Like the Ventrue Seneschal, she takes some photos rather than heft the light, but bulky, boards.

The shelves are all spilled out on the floor... and under the car. Junk, mostly. Useful junk for jury rigging things; surveillance equipment; tools for weapon repair and the like.

Of course, now that the Hunter's lair was laid bare, she had ample opportunity to ransack it - those double barrelled shotguns were safer in the Domain's armoury than with some errant Hunter cell, after all. Same for the brace of pistols. And those older, more shabby, shotguns in the lockers. The military surplus stock? What the hell, come back for a second pass and grab that. Nothing in the great scheme of things but it will drain whatever resources the Hunter's have left to resupply.

The Seneschal had bought a van after all.

A last pass to wreck those infernal cork boards. That would slow the Hunter's down even more. Ale and Victoria had photos; Jacob had his photographic memory.

And then, off into the night!

Behind them was an overturned garage, a car with two missing occupants, a night manager who'd snap back to lucidity long after they had gone, and no evidence of their passing. The flabby night manager was in it up to his neck, barely conscious of what had happened but with his own tacit involvement plain to any mundane investigator - and with only some unbelievable ravings in his defence.

Time to wrap this scene as its been going on since August. The last few posts have dragged over a week and a half. I will let you decide if you wish to continue with this plot, or we can close it.

The Hunter Cell has been dealt a savage blow and will take time to recover - not just in resources but in manpower.
