Welcome. There are plenty of legacies that deal with spirits and are not aligned to the Wilds. Obrimos can be great pokemon masters, legacies like the Thrice Great for example, if you're into hermetics.

Hello! I stumbled here while looking for forum games the other day. I don't have very much experience with nWoD, but one of the perks of text games is I won't hold things up when it takes fifteen minutes to find a rule because there's no table of contents.
I'm pretty laid back when it comes to rp. The things I'm uncomfortable with are already banned by the site rules.

As play by post games go outs has been about for quite some time so your in good hands, it does come with a reasonable amount of reading to do rules and expectations wise, but yes the benefit being there is no rush
As for the rules the core books are pretty good and the wiki is a fantastic resource, there are a number of house rules so yes it absolutely pays dividends to look things up, I handle the mage venue of the site and I still double check things everyday.
Also we do have a discord your very welcome to join, players chat, ask questions and all in all it's a great community
