(DwO) Dealing With What No One Else Will

Once they've both gained their feet again, Cross gestures for Alice to follow Joseph up the ladder. "Get going. See you up there," he says, trying to look confident despite his growing concern. The whole sewer will be flooded soon. They need to move.

Once she starts climbing, Cross focuses on keeping upright as the dark waters rush onward.

Alice give the Burned man a Look. Not wanting to leave him in the putrid dark, but she doesn't want to stay here herself either, "I'd better!" Alice calls as she begins her ascent. Her jerking movements, nimble for the night, as if there truly were someone pulling her strings, it's like the doll flew up the ladder. Staying out of the way of Joseph. If he was going to help Robert then far be it for Alice to stop him.

Finally, he's out of the manhole, emerging into the fresh air, looking between his companions. "Well. That was fun."

Then he sits up, taking a moment to survey their surroundings, making sure the coast is still clear.

"We should get going, report back to Gilroy," he adds as he looks around, ready to be done with their little outing.

[Parable]

The last of the predators scrambles up the ladder; leaving behind that rancid decay, the vermin, and the filthy water. Or at least what wasn't clinging to their clothes, hair and skin.

Looking around, Robert's eyes pierce through the darkness. The street around still appears abandoned, the sudden downpour driving the Kine inside their 'safe' homes. The drops continue to drench the trio but if ever there was a cleansing sensation to a Summer shower it was tonight.

Once Robert was safely above ground, Alice flashed him a forced fake wry grin "Yeah it's totally on my top ten of super fun times." before turning her face to the pouring rain and grunted out, "Shower first. Gilroy second." she had a feeling that her cousins would agree.

[Robert Cross]

Cross grins at the Doll, nodding his approval of her requested schedule of events. "Fine, I'll take you two where you need to go and then we'll reconvene to update Gilroy once everyone is freshened up." He stands, walking over to the van, stripping his 'borrowed' work hear and tossing it into the back of the vehicle. He reaches in and retrieves his suit jacket.

With that, he starts back toward his own car, opening the door and sliding into the front seat. It would need a good detailing after they're done tonight, but there's not much to be done about the matter.

Once everyone is in the car and ready to go, Cross will drive off into the night.

[Parable]

The vampires pile into the vehicle after shedding their protective clothing. Even so, the smell clings to them and permeates the air. Even without having to breath, the stench stings the nostrils.

Luckily, they're only a few minutes away from an hour long soak. And from there, all they have to do is report their success to the Regent.
