Clubbing at District30

[Konrad Roth]

In terms of dance clubs, the Nox is right at the top of the list in Sacramento's nightlife. The only problem is that Konrad's not really interested in attracting attention from his fellow Kindred. It's one thing to date a Kine, but dating a fellow Kindred could earn him some disapproving looks from the Bishop. Not that the Worm would likely be present in the midst of the dance floor, but one never knew how the Priscus of Haunts spends his free time.

That and there's always a chance his enemies could target Madison to get to him. Alice seems onboard with whatever this is that they've been doing. She and Maddy really hit it off at the Electric Fairyland and their shopping spree. Maybe sparks would fly tonight. In a good way.

So he advises Alice and Madison both over the phone to meet him at District 30, across from Ballo Della Notte. In terms of premier nightclubs, it's a close second to the Nox. And it appears to be in rare form tonight as the mixed DJ tunes reverberate throughout the building.

Konrad arrives in a navy blue suit jacket, white graphic tee, and skinny-legged jeans, for what passes as club attire these nights. He waits outside for them to show, checking his watch now and then in anticipation of their arrival.

Faye wasn’t late, nor was she early, the Enchantress arrives when she is supposed to, and that was how it was. She paired the blue dress with a pair of flesh colored sandals, which elongated her legs. Not that she really needed to, but when one goes out on the town, they dress to impress. And let’s admit it, she had killer legs. Her hair was shorter, which was an illusion due to carefully tucked and pinned pieces, but the effect was still the same. Her eye makeup was on point, and her lips were a flirty shade of pink.

She parks the car a couple blocks away, pretty much the only parking she can find, which sucked, but whatever. As she walks towards the club, Confusion still played through her head. So there was a light bounce to her steps, and her head was probably still bobbing to the song as well. What can she say, she loves music and that song had some sick beats to it.

As her eyes spot Konrad, ever the gentlemen, waiting outside for them, she grins.

“Hey Konrad, looking good.” her voice flirty as she approaches.

Getting herself to the club was done in a taxi. The look the cabbie gave her made her a little self conscious. Alice had pair the wrap dress Madison chose with a pair of purple ribbon heels. She figured that it would work with the dress.

The taxi pulls to a stop outside of the club, Alice pays the man after slips out of the car. Her eyes, matching her ensemble, searched for the two who'd promised to take her out dancing.

"Madison! Konrad!" she calls as she spots them, with a bright to wide too wide smile she makes her way to them. Feigning a pebble in her heel to cover the hissing of the Wraith as Konrad's stronger beast makes it's presence known. "Hey," is her simple greeting. A fluttering nervous energy courses through her, as she takes in the presence of the two next to her and the club that was their destination.

"I think you're too old, man."

Wide, friendly blue-green eyes regarded Konrad. Where had this guy come from?

"The skinny jeans. Just saying. They have an age limit. Unless you're a world-famous rock star? Are you? A world famous rock star. I'm just asking because you could be, and I don't recognize you. Like, a member of RUSH. But, anyway, if you're not. I know that's not, like, what you want to hear, I'm just letting you know. For future reference." True story. There's an art to fitting in, but part of Googling "What To Wear To A Club" should involve some age and appearance filters. "But, look. The jacket just calls attention to the fact that you're trying to pull them off. Bulks you up, up top. So, ditch the..."

Was that...?

"Hey."

Arms went akimbo and the Angel regarded the Fairy ( Faye ) with a cocked head.

"Fancy meeting you here."

What... the... The grin stayed, but he waited. For what? To see if anyone else saw The Ghost. That totally looked like a ghost. And could be a ghost. Legit. Solid fifty-fifty chance.

Really needed to spend less time with Truce and much, much, much less time creeping around the Twilight.

"Not as good as you," Konrad answers Madison, leaning in for a light hug and a kiss on the cheek. Good enough to eat. But some meals look so good you just can't bring yourself to bite into them. "You look like you're in a good mood too," he remarks, noting the bounce in her step.

It isn't long before the colorfully clad Alice makes her appearance, stepping out of the taxi with her startling albino features. Hopefully the only attention she'll get tonight would be the positive kind. But with a stunning outfit she should do just fine.

"Looks even better on you than I remember," he says with a thumbs up as she nears them.

And then Konrad turns to locate the sudden commentary he hears directed at him. A man, maybe a regular at these clubs, who seems right at home giving out fashion advice on the street. Maybe he thinks he's doing Konrad a favor.

"Huh, I'll remember that," Konrad replies in an attempt to play it off without getting self-conscious. Of course this guy didn't know the half of just how past the age-limit the Savage is. Still, some Carthian he turned out to be if he can't even stay in touch with today's fashions. If Ashley had stuck around he might not have had that problem.

Seems he and Madison know each other too. "Oh, you a friend of Maddy's? Any friend of hers is a friend of mine," he adds, extending a hand for a friendly handshake. Maybe he could pick the guy's brain for more fashion faux pas, man-to-man.

The smile widens as she sees Alice,

“Alice! Have to say, seeing the whole outfit together looks awesome on you! You are def going to have guys falling all over you in there!” she exclaimed. There was no denying the pale womans beauty. Or women if Alice was into that, whichever.

Biting her lip, “Aren’t you sweet.” She replies to Konrad, returning the hug and kiss. Her lips lingering a moment longer on his cheek. “Oh yeah! Had some great music on the way over and it just gets me in a dancing mood!” plus going out and mingling always got her in a good mood.

And then…Star?!

The smile turned friendly, “Hey yourself!” she replies, clearly glad to see him. While he could be odd at times, avoiding looking at her for one, he was still a nice guy. “You been here before?” she asked. "I'm kinda liking the whole look he has going." she adds with a wink to Konrad.

But what name did he usually use in public? Urgh…she couldn’t remember, they didn’t get together often enough.

“Yeah, we’ve been out dancing before, and if I remember, he’s pretty good too. But wow, that was a long time ago. I warn you, I’ve improved.” She said with a laugh. "This is Konrad and Alice."

[Alice Hart]

The thumbs up seems a little cheesy, but it still makes Alice beam. It's a little too wide, and fake, but maybe the falseness of her smile is filtering an overflowing well of anxiety. "Thanks Konrad. You're..ah not to bad yourself." she fumbles, she'd never seen the savage in anything like this before. Honestly it's a little weird.

"Madison! Wow! You look great and your hair!" Only three years dead and Alice had to remind herself that kine hair grew, it wouldn't just return to normal the very next night.

"So...you two know each other?" Alice asks, looking between the two kine, had Madison invited the other guy? Was this a set up? Blind-date thing? Alice's unreal eyes darted between the three others...with all their flirting, Alice was fairly positive that Madison might like Konrad...was the invite so the doll would be left alone on a shelf while they had their fun?

"Hi." Alice waves at the other guy. "I'd be Alice. I'm fairly certain I don't look like a Konrad."

"Oh, we lived together."

Innocent, flippant words explained the situation to Konrad and Alice.

"Wait, no, I mean, not Like That. It was a group thing." Because that totally clarifies everything. "I'm Jack."

A hand flagged up, long fingers swaying in a light wave. Jack isn't a hand shaker. Or hugger. Not a casual hugger. At least...

"So, yeah, wow. That was, what, at The Rage?" Bright eyes and a grin turned vaguely over Faye's left shoulder. "With ummmm, what was her name?" The hand dropped, flattened, indicating a short person. Probably much shorter than Aurum actually was, but, oh em gee what a little tiny ball of techno-goth-y goodness. "You know. With the, uh. Goggles. I guess we'll seeeee if you've gotten better."

It was a long time ago. Back when Jack was a guy who'd dance with two girls he'd just met. Had Jack just invited himself? Maybe.

"Really?" Eyebrows bounced at The Ghost who was apparently not a ghost and everyone could see and here and thank goodness for that. "I mean, you could be a Konrad. The whole, 'strong advice' or 'team slash group' thing? Check both those boxes for you, right?"

He stared. Just a little, as the words burbled like a stream over rocks. It wasn't like staring at Faye, with the see-through clothes that totally did not make anyone think about being a little bit better at Telekinesis. It was like staring at, well, an albino. Up close. With veins peeking up through translucent skin. And super weird eyes. Creepy, yo.

"I'm staring, aren't I? Wow. I am, like, totally sorry. I've just never seen, uh. I mean, you know. Up close. Like, live and in-person. Not a picture. You are an albino, right? That's not just," a hand gestured top to bottom, "Like some whole Super Goth fetish gone wild and a ton of makeup? What's it like? If you have a pimple, does it still get red? Are bruises more blue and green?"

"Can you go out in the sun?"

Konrad looks from Jack to Madison, his brow raising slightly by the implication. Still, even if that were the case, it'd be her business who she lives with. From what he understood, she was always on the move, so roommates were naturally a factor.

The lack of handshake doesn't bother Konrad. Lots of Kindred disliked the human gesture. But it is rare for a Kine to share that. He hides his hands away in pockets and nods instead.

"I think you're thinking of 'comrade', but I guess I could always try to pass for Alice. Or maybe Alice in Chains." Might as well join in the banter, as Konrad mistakes Jack's meaning for socialist philosophies.

Given the excessive attention Jack is giving Alice, Konrad remarks, "If it is a fetish, count me in. But she's the real deal. Quite the looker, ain't she?" While Jack's comment might be interpreted as overly direct, Konrad's quick to spin it into a compliment for the pale beauty to keep her confidence up.

"Let's head inside, maybe start with some drinks?" he suggests. "After you ladies."

Moving beside Jack, Konrad asks, "So, what sort of business you in, Jack? You a performer like our Maddy here?"

[Aurora]

Faye grins, “Like it?! I wanted to try something different.” A hand reaches up to touch the ends, and it was a relief she could just take out the clips and have it long again.

She had to chuckle listening to Star try and explain how they knew each other.

“Oh!” she replies as her face scrunched to try and remember the name, “I know who you’re talking about, but can’t think of her name. But I’ll prob remember later at home or something.” She laughed, that was how it always worked.

And then he started talking about Alice and how pale she was. It was one of those times Fay wanted to rub her forehead. Did he just go there about going out in the sun?! Who can’t go into the sun, come on now! Oh how she prays Alice doesn’t get offended.

Konrad to try and save the convo! A grateful smile was offered to him.

“Drinks sound perfect!” she exclaims as her shoulder brushes against Alices. A smile was offered to the woman, “What’s your fav drink?” she asks as they walk inside.
