Spring's arrival had filled the air around the Rose Garden's courtyard. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, the blossoms hung on the gentle breeze of the day. This was the place the signs would point for those new to the Freehold, at least for now. There were a few pitchers of refreshing drinks and bottled water on a table near the doorway. The place was closed for the afternoon, nothing out of the ordinary on this bright fresh day.

Terri's Mask is that of a petite, cute woman with vibrant red hair that has black streaks throughout. Obviously athletic, her natural demeanour is friendly and she always tends to have a smile on her face.

Her fae mien is akin to a red squirrel. She has a long bushy tail and ear tufts that poke through her hair. The black streaks are actually black feathers the are a part of her mien now,; a part of her noble order.

Terri's powerful Mantle initiates itself as the smell of baking bread but brings with it the feeling of the Harvest, that time to take stock of the coming troubles.

Strolling through the courtyard of the Rose Garden, Terri paused to take a sniff at the flowers that were in full bloom and had been ever since Lynn had been named as the Emerald Queen, the first of many changes around the Freehold and as was now common knowledge, four newly-named Sovereigns for each Court; every one a woman no less! How's that for democracy!

Moving on towards the table, the Legate of Mists poured herself a cold drink from the pitcher, her eyes hidden from the bright afternoon sunshine by a large pair of designer shades, and for once Terri wasn't in a long flowing dress. Rather, a pair of tight skinny jeans and a tee that showed off her toned midriff was the order of the day, finished with a pair of modest heels and leather jacket. The glasses were a necessary accouterment for the day for they not only protected her sight from the glare but they also hid any tears that may form from the announcement she had been pondering since taking over at Edna's.

"Terri!" Artemis' voice boomed over the courtyard as he caught sight of the Beast. "Good to see you again." He said with a smile as he strode over. He was wearing a pair of plain brown slacks and a slightly off white button up shirt. "The coronation seemed so busy and I didn't get a good chance to chat to you again. How did you enjoy it?" he asked genuinely.

Charles arrived at the Rose Garden in some of his nicer clothes. He wore a dark blue button-up shirt with some black slacks, his greasy hair done up in a small ponytail to make him look more presentable. This was, after all, a more formal occasion, meant to greet newcomers to the Freehold. It was doubly important to make a good impression on such an occasion. Plus, he was always wary of new Changelings, due to the number of unknown factors they presented. He wasn't exactly a peacekeeper and probably, hopefully, wouldn't be the guy with the most combat experience here. But he felt it was certain duty he needed to fulfill.

That being said, the Blightbent felt more like a strange and unwanted visitor here more than anything else. The fragrant scent of fresh blossoms filled the air. The restaurant was dressed up in nice flowers that proudly proclaimed which Court this building belonged to. Several tables he passed offered fresh and clean water to anyone who wanted it. It was the antithesis of everything he represented. He moved awkwardly through the building, not wanting to touch anything and defile it with his ever-present grease, even if it would blow away once not being fed by his Glamour. In times like these, when anxious or out-of-sorts, he normally liked to light up, finding solace in nicotine. Except even that felt taboo here, like he would get scornful stares if his cigarette smoke started drowning out the scent of the flowers. So he simply settled on playing with his lighter, flipping it open and closed again with nothing to put to the flame.

He did notice two others as he entered the courtyard. And if it wasn't his two running buddies from before. In this case, he felt company was better than no company.

"Hey fellows," he announced as he drew near. "Glad to see you made it."

Hank was not the social butterfly that others were. He spoke when he needed to and didn't when he didn't have to. He entered the Rose Garden and went straight to the refreshment table, getting himself a drink as he wandered around. After a moment he wandered to the small little gathering that had started. "Hello everyone," he said with a head nod.

“Very enjoyable, thanks, it was awesome that Lynn was crowned and the Seasons could change as they should.” Terri had been sipping at her drink and taking in the sights of the garden itself when the Elemental had made his usual booming entrance. Smiling in her ever-friendly manner, she had joined him just as Charles arrived, her smile turning as she looked towards him, her eyes still covered by the sunglasses. “Hey Charles, nice to see you again. How’s the bump? It was one hell of a tumble,” she added, obviously showing a little concern. As he had pointed out at the time, it really was nothing but she knew pointedly how much having your ego burst was such a downer.

Their little group was joined by a third Elemental and Terri briefly wondered if she’d missed the memo of it being a one-Seeming party. Still, she knew all about Elementals, seeing as she once married one. The petite Beast held out a welcoming hand towards Hank. “Hi there, don't think we've met; Terri Nutkins.”

Artemis turned at the sound of Charles and gave him a beaming smile. "Charles! So good to see you again. I hope the nose is feeling better." He said echoing Terri's concern. "And you too Hank! I'm glad you've come along."

After welcoming the other he turned back to Terri to nod in agreement. "Yes I'm sure Lynn will make a splendid Queen. I'm looking forward to seeing what she has planned for the freehold. Now. I've heard that the sovereigns of the other courts have been designated as well. Ava, whom I've met, but Ramona and L'aire I haven't had the pleasure. If it's not too much bother, would you mind terribly, pointing them out to me if they show up? Only I want to be able to make sure any newcomers find their place without any hassle." He said with a hopeful smile. He wanted to make sure any loose ends were at least tethered to something, it would make his job easier regarding security to know everyone and besides, the thought of being on the welcoming committee was something he looked forward to. Suddenly a look of surprise struck him. "Oh! Is there anyone who represents those who've not yet chosen a court?" He asked Terri curiously.

The Manticoress entered the Rose Garden with a contented smile on her face. Her tail was curled to one side in a demonstration of Feline at-her-pleasure and the Queen of the Most Elegant Quills surveyed her surroundings with an appropriate gravitas. The body art specialist and Sylvan Emissary Draconic was dressed in a light blue t-shirt with the Element CA Bear design emblazoned on the front, a pair of jeans that had started to show signs of wear, and a pair of skater sneakers. Her arms were covered with elaborate greyscale tattoos that didn't seem to have their impact lessened by the light reddish brown fuzz that was another trait born of her Manticorish heritage.

Juno's eyes gleamed at the prospect of seeing her friend Terri once again, and she was not disappointed when she caught sight of a flash of a specific shade of red.

"Ah, happy gathering day everyone! I hope that all is well, my friends new, old and to be met. Terri, we must catch up, it has been so long! Too long, rather."

"My nose. Yes. Fine. Wonderful. Didn't even hurt that much. It healed up pretty quickly. My pride's nearly better too. Doc says it only needs a few more weeks in a splint." He was kinda hoping that the subject wouldn't be brought up, though he also knew it was a lost cause. People were just too caring. Luckily there was only a couple people around who hadn't been witness to the event and one of those was Hank, who seemed less likely to pry. So hopefully he wouldn't have to recount his tale of foolishness too much.

"And Hank, glad you could make it. I was afraid I might be the only Summer here and would get lonely. Now I don't have to be on my best behavior since I'm not our court's only example."

"But where are my manners," he said as he turned to regard Juno. "The name is Charles."

"The Courtless don't really have representatives but if there's anyone who would be of help to those without a Mantle, I'd send them to Gianna; she's the lady who owns Quicksilver Gate. She was also one upon a time the keeper of our Freehold's Commons before it moved to the Four Seasons." Terri's answer was added with a smile, obviously. She had a lot of respect for the Wizened but hadn't seen her around as much lately and most probably wouldn't seeing as she's leaving the mall. A shame, really.

"Juno, how have you been, hun?" Terri asked warmly, regarding the Fairest with fondness. "Are you still tattooing?"
