"Ok I think I got this..." Flidais nods to herself enthusiastically before wincing in empathy for the enchanters poor toe.
"You think? I wouldn't mind a bit more fresh air." this time Flidais was prepared to throw well.

"Is the masters going well?" Flidais asks, curious about the state of his formal education, it can be hard to juggle a lot of commitments.

"I gotcha." The Enchanter's eyebrows rose slightly as the impressed expression continued to blossom. "Did Justine affect that choice at all?"
Emrys hadn't forgotten the ghost, or how Truce had been far better equipped to deal with her then he had been. Her fate was something he knew Truce could resolve on his own, but her effect on him wasn't something that registered until just now. Between that and his earlier response to Flidais it sounded like the Moros was getting progressively more comfortable with expressing himself to people.
As Truce's shot rolls down the lane Emrys rises to find a ball of his own. Only a few seconds pass and he has one in hand, lining up his shot before releasing the ball on its way. He fairs slightly better then the others so far, but definitely isn't a pro.
"Going out is better then staying in any day." Emrys says with a quick glance to Flidais. "Do you go out much with Puppy?"

"Mmmhhmm" Flidais hummed in the affirmative to Emrys' question.
"Puppy is important to my work, she is used for socialising with other dogs, testing for distractions or just showing other dogs how it's done. I spend more time with her then without to be honest." Flidais sips the liquor of the last shot she was not able to hand off to others. Noticing that her order was ready Flidais bounds over and comes back with the greasiest, fattiest and most disgusting thing on the menu.
"Nice throw!" She comments.
"Your up!" Flidais passes a small portion of her food to Crowley and a ball that she guesses might work for him... maybe?

"It is, actually," Truce answers to Flidais. "I'll be taking my comprehensive examination next month for the first time. I'm a little nervous, but I'm trying to remain confident in my understanding. I believe there's an oral portion, so I hope you'll forgive me if you find me talking to myself in the apartment."
Though that shouldn't be unusual, considering he often spoke with Chelsea though no one else could see or hear her unless she chose to manifest.
Emrys's mention of Justine causes a melancholy expression to cross Truce's features. "They all do," he answers somewhat seriously before he pushes the feeling aside.
He forces a smile and glances to Crowley . "Come on, Crowley. I hope you're not on your phone again," he asks teasingly, hoping to keep the man involved in their game.
Truce selects the returning bowling ball from its track and lines up for another shot. Since they're on separate lanes, Truce didn't need to wait for Crowley to continue. With 10 frames to get through they'd end up adding up their totals at the end to determine the winner of their warm up game.
"Indeed I am." Crowley rolled forward, bowling ball in hand, and snapped it down the middle of the alley.
"Gah!" Fingers clenched and he pumped the air as his ball struck, only to hit the pins off centre; it made short work... of the back row and left the front obstinately standing. Fingers uncurled as his triumphant arm deflated and withered at his side.
"And no. The phone is away. The phone is off. They can bug someone else."
The Enchanter scrounged food.

"Well I for one am happy that we had a practice round." Flidais gives an assessing look over the scoreboards over her last performance.
"Do you have an interest in plants Emrys?"

Shit.
Truce's change in demeanor when Emrys mentioned Justine might have been brief, but it was noticed. A small pang of guilt stabs at the Enchanter as the Moros's connection to the dead was made obvious. Why it wasn't before was suddenly escaping him, given the offering at Leo and Animus's funeral and the talks about Justine.
"Yes!" Emrys responded with almost inappropriate enthusiasm. Subject changes can be wonderful things. "I've been looking into gardening as a way to help me unwind. It was a suggestion I got from a friend in DC a while ago when I was getting kind of stressed. Been meaning to put something together but then there was the radio and the move, it kind of distracted from recreation for a while."
His shoulders rolled in a shrug before he once again grabbed a ball to bowl with. While he did his best not to show how awkward he was feeling at that particular moment, the gutter balls he was rolling down the lane betrayed his obvious distraction.

Truce joins in on the brewing conversation. "I understand how hard it is to find time to unwind. Ever since college I've somehow forgotten how to just relax a little. That's why I thought this might be a nice change of pace for us. I think, for us, we feel obligated to do something profound with our talents. But those pressures would get to anyone."
The practice round ends with Truce leading by a small margin. A bit of luck probably, as he doesn't have that much confidence in his aim. Truce reaches over and takes a moment to munch on fries and sip his beer before another game begins.
He starts up again, "I think the roof of our apartment would make for a nice spot for a garden, if you both want to use that space for it."
"Why not? Sounds like a plan. I mean... we do spend some quality time up there in the summer and it would something we could all pitch in with. I believe another work team did something similar at one point."
Crowley added as he dipped greedy fingers into the fries.
"And it would give us something to bond over."

"Well more vegetation is always nice, would set the scene nicely for seasonal prayers and affirmations." Flidais nods.
"Fruit or no fruit, that is the question... Oh, do any of you want to try Hunting or Gathering sometime? I'm starting to plan a bit of a thing I can do for our group and part of it involves some wilderness survival."
