The soft sighs of leaves tumbling through night crisped air kept Josephine company as she waited for her other hunters to arrive. It was a clear night, with no clouds to dim the frozen light of dead stars who's corpses could still be glimpsed through the void of space. The moon was also in the midst of its rise, casting the woods beyond the Reeve's windshield into a sharp gray, her dead eyes drinking the light better than even a cat's eyes. She had no need for reflective lens or a dense plethora of rods, after all. The world was bared to her soul, shadow and shade no obstacle for one blessed by the Almighty as was she.

Of course, as it was with all predators, her victory tonight relied upon her sight being better than that of her quarry. Were the Cloak to fail them then it was entirely possible for their entire plan to be lost. But, the Almighty had given them their gifts for a reason, and so it was that the Kindred of Sacramento would use them this night...

Jojo has brought bags of powdered chlorine to disperse into the bunker's vents, along with a shotgun+shells and a glock+bullets. Also pen and paper.

Prior to leaving for tonight's mission, Katya gathers all her needed tools. The pistol she obtained from Mendoza farms is tucked in the back of her jeans. Her whip is wrapped up and ready to go, with a nail tied to the end. The whip hides within the front pocket of her hoodie and with her bag of ropes tossed in the back of her car, Katya heads out.

She heads to the specific rendezvous point and spots the lone car in the distance. It's when she gets closer that she spots josphine and grips the steering wheel, her lip curling back as she struggles to contain her impulse to step out and let her claws cut open the Reeve. It's harder given that Katya's mind is primed for violence, but as she closes her eyes, Katya is able to push it back again...for now anyway. with her eyes still closed, she lets the blood inside her run through her body, augmenting its ability to withstand punishment. Useful in her hobby, vital for this evening as she knows it is naive to assume she would leave here unscarred.

Stepping out of her car, Katya's hair is tied back in a simple ponytail, clad in her black hoodie, matching jeans and combat boots. She gives Josephine a silent nod and then looks on for the others to arrive.

Katya brings with her one light pistol with one full clip. A whip with a nail tied to it that does L dmg but no added dmg bonus Armory pg 36. She also has her rope in her duffel bag. Lastly, she spends -1 vitae to activate Resilience

Only barren streets met David as he left his Haven earlier in the evening. There were no phonies to prowl upon and even if there were, the Shadow's mind was on other things. David hopes that the short hunting trip is not foreshadowing of things to come. Josephine's insistence on not creating contingencies or even a clear plan, thinking success was a 'given,' was in David's mind naïve – a step below 'positive thinking methods.' This surprised David as he thought Josephine was more pragmatic than that since she shares the experience in the sewers; but then again, she was Frenzied for most of it.

Feeding Roll:failure

Sneakers make very little noise as David approaches Katya and the Reeve. A knife sits heavily within his zip-hoodie as it returns to the place where it was first consecrated as a tool of war. Skin as pale as moonlight.

Faced with weakness, the Companion urges David to use his speed to draw his knife and gut both women in front of him like fish. It desires to use their entrails as a crown until it all crumbles, eventually, into ash. A chorus of voices, not unlike the feral children of the Lord of the Flies, vies for control in impulses replacing a long-lost heartbeat.

David smothers the impulses, the chanting borne of distrust and disdain. Control is kept using the understanding of a promise made more than a year ago and the understanding of his own Humanity. Knowing David needs them to fulfill that promise and refusing to be like them: callous and cold.

The Grand Wyrm's steps stop a scant few feet from Katya and The Reeve, truncating a bow in their direction while silence hangs off of his shoulders.

Another minute passed before Josephine climbed from her car, grimly facing the two who had arrived on time. The Archon would have to wait with the others until their scouting party returned. The Reeve would waste no more time delaying the hunt this evening.

With tones softened to conversation suitable for ears that could hear a spider crawl, Josephine greeted her companions.

"Good evening, Katya. David. Are we ready to begin? I shall instruct the others to await us until we return."

The undetected presence of David's monster almost startes Katya. she offers a bow to David in return before hearing Josphine break the silence. With a nod, she holds her hand up and calls upon the blood in her system to bring to live the dark, sharp talons from her fingers. When they have grown to their full height she says "I am ready when you are." She does look back in the distance, listening carefully for the sound of the Archon to join them. She is still unsure if less is better for David to keep them hidden or if it is worse in terms of protecting her as she cuts the door open.

No sense in turning back now

Looking to David, Katya waits for him to make his move assuming he is ready.

Leaving her vehicle some distance back, Twist had made her way to the rendezvous point on foot. The result being that despite dressing for the upcoming ventures, she was late. Noting this fact though, she then moved past it. To dwell on it would accomplish little and to rush would only risk causing further impediments to her arrival. Well, that wasn't entirely true... the one thing being late would accomplish was give her time to prepare to reign in her Beast. A constant snarl of desire of flesh coated with blood, bones revealed in pale glory under the starlight... And while if all went well tonight, such visions would indeed be granted to her, she did not want it to be those she went to meet.

Her weapons were tucked away carefully about her body, hidden under the black clothing she wore to blend into the night. Her dark hair bound back in a braid down her back.

Dressed in tight fighting black attire, a grim faced Daeva approached the group. Slung under his arm was a duffle bag filled. In it was the equipment he promised he would provide.

With cautious surveillance, he saw the Kindred first. The Beast found Katya and Josephine particularly irksome. The woods offered perfect opportunity to dispose of both were it not for David and Twist nearby...and Katya's noticeably deadly fingernails.

He quietly greeted the Kindred. "Good evening, I have the headsets - five all accounted for."

“Are we waiting for Whip Antinori and Priscus Roth?” David inquires, his gaze settled onto the tree-line. Twist's intrusion raises no hackles with the Companion but Juan's, however, does. The handsome Spaniard pretends at his strength but the Shrike senses the weakness within him. The chorus of a thousand hungry maws all cry out for violence and blood.

Dull-brown eyes study Juan as David quells the chattering, clicking voices into a dull thrum.

“I'm not sure how much we'll use them. Each person within the cloak must remain silent to remain cloaked. However, thank you, Priscus Cordoba. If you can turn away from us when we leave?”

"Give the headsets to the second team, Juan, but for the moment I recommend that you wait in your vehicle. What the rest of us shall do is scout the area, then return here so that we might all advance as a unified force with a firm tactic in place," Josephine illuminated, the words quiet yet no less authoritarian.

"So, let us proceed straight away. David, we are yours," the Reeve finished, stepping closer to the Shadow so that he might wrap them in Night's Cloak.

David Regan feel free to lead the way.

Juan nodded once, "Good luck to you then." He turned on his heels and set back to his car. Arriving back at his vehicle, the Daeva inspected for any possible tampering. He might be paranoid, however, it was better to know that his tires weren't slashed before he needed to make a quick get-away.
