Sacramento hums at night. The lights hum, people hum in various states of inebriation and sleep, even cars hum in their own way. Not the vibrant hum of day but the low hum of waiting. That patient feeling that falls over a city when most of its residents retreat to their homes, when the streets empty.

Except there's always those people out at night, the unfortunate, the bored, the amused, the predators. Then again most humans would run in terror if they knew of the real predators amongst them. What's worries true predators though?

That feeling crossing the street, right now. The walk sign is white, but right at the double yellow. Ice down the spine.

Usually when it came to pack business Slick was dressed in what she considered to be her hunting clothing. It worked wonderfully for many things, but not for prowling around a casino.

So her clothing tonight was less utilitarian, more...daring. The heels added a bit of height. And there was plenty of leg showing above them until they reached the hem of her cocktail dress. One which revealed plenty of skin elsewhere as well. Diamonds glittered in her ears, gold at her throat she was the very picture of a woman dressed up and looking to hit up a casino for a good time.

Of course, most who saw her probably wouldn't assume that her idea of a good time there would be tearing the throat out of some greed spirit...but oh well.

Tonight was Tony's show, time for the Ithaeur to do what Ithaeur did best. As for herself? She suspected she might be running interference. But, well...they'd see.

It was stupid, unnatural, and just plain irritating.

Not the hum of the city's night life or even the Greed Court mind you, but the ridiculous outfit Tony knew he'd have to wear for this mission. It'd been over two years of blood and war and never once in that time had the Ithaeur been forced into such stupid clothes, but now? Now he had to do something he hadn't had to do since just after college almost a decade ago, dress up. The outfit was dedicated, but part of him couldn't wait for the chance to destroy his own finery.

The Iron Master looked about through a pair of sunglasses as he approached the casino. "It's weird to be this close again." He said looking over to his Alpha, only then realizing the subtle signs of wealth she had adorned herself with. "Here I thought I was the only one in town with some change to throw around."

A smirk grew across his face as he procured a flask from his coat pocket. The gift of the Ithalunim he had planned to use had a clearly visible effect on his eyes, an effect hidden behind the sunglasses he wore, but who wore sunglasses at night? Crazy people and hungover people. One of those was a lot easier to emulate then the other for an Urdaga, so he took a sip, washed his mouth with it, and swallowed.

[Aeneas]

Aeneas had never had reason to buy a suit before. So the chance to go out and buy something... appropriate... for hunt against the Greed Court was a novel experience. One which the Irraka had enjoyed in full, even though it had burned through his meagre savings and probably confused, confounded, and terrified some hapless herd shop owners in the process.

Aeneas turns up to the hunt in a new suit, bought fresh from a reputable op shop clothing store, given new life with a crisp and quite expensive (for him) shirt with a mandarin collar. And gator boots (that had destroyed his credit). Seriously, it was all about the boots. You can tell from the swagger. Aeneas likes them boots. The mismatched insanity makes him look like he has just escaped the set of a very bad action movie and he was no doubt the villain. The lecherous grin is just... wrong.

"Ahs bought me a suit." The Irraka beamed all the more when his alpha pack appeared. "Haw. An' ahs got me some boots. Real nice boots. See ah be reckoning they'll take me for one of them thar high roller peoples. All important people ware them boots." He presented his boot clad feet, concrete crunching underfoot. "Do you think they have an all you can eat buffet? Say... Ah's mighty hungry, if you take ma meaning."

A block away the Casino glistens after the city. Clenched fists are sprayed onto walls, plastered onto light poles, onto cars. It all fists look very familiar to Anthony..but in the material world this time. Humans in all form of dress and hygiene come and go from the Casino. Some walking, some stumbling.

Perceptions

Chantay and Aeneas - They stand in shadows and lean against walls. A few of the humans are very well dressed, all in suits. All with a pin over their heart, a raised clenched fist in gold. Each waves the crowd in their own way, one leers at the attractive ones, another eye's hop shiny bit to shiny bit, yet a third seems to only notice the dejected.

Chantay - Past the good shoes, and the good business suit, one of them smiles...and her teeth look a bit..shiny.

Everyone- More people seem to be heading to the Casino than leaving it.

[Aeneas]

Aeneas did not know what to do with his excitable fingers. He couldn't very well hook them into his belt and they felt like they wanted to grasp the hilt of the knife that was no longer at his hip. Pouting, he thrust them deep into his pockets and glowered.

"Ah says we's being watched, y'all." He muttered. "Them folks in suits. They like them shadows a lot, heh." A brief smirk ran across his face. He liked shadows too.
