Star notices a young twenty-something girl in a nearby window. Shielding herself behind blinds and curtains.
This might not be CSI. But The Wire isn't far off.
Cop cars come in pairs, screaming and yelling with angry blue-red lights. Haggard looking beat-cops step out of the cars and one of them checks the body-camera they are forced to wear. Muttering angrily to himself. The other nervously steps out, and takes in the house as haggard looking as his partner is. Beat-cops are always first. Then it's detectives like Molina and Barton, busy with their own problems.
Police officers have a particular walk. It's heavy, plodding and the pair of beat-cops go up to the front-door, knocking and waiting for a response that won't come. There's a protocol for entering a house. Like a mythical Vampire, a police-officer needs to be invited in unless there's probable cause.
