Seeking a Mountain

Morgan had the presence of mind to catch her breath outside before entering the Blue Note. The raccoon was dressed street casual: brown sneakers, brown cargo khakis, black tank top, her beat up leather jacket, and her favorite backpack. In deference to the heat, her jacket was unzipped and would probably be put aside soon. The lights of the Blue Note would occasionally catch upon a metal object the Twilit Page was wearing over her tank top. A recently aquired pendant that had come with a second she'd hoped to relieve herself of shortly.

That was, if she could find the Winter Courtier she was looking for. Morgan would think that Green would be fairly easy to spot, given his size. Then again, Winters were supposed to be good at hiding right?

The fact that the Twilit Page had rarely visited the Blue Note meant she didn't know any of the good hiding spots. So the raccoon simply wondered around the the club. If the Mountain was missing, she could try asking the bartender maybe? She did do jobs for Harvey for an entire year so that could count as a positive for...something social, right?

It was Blue Note night.

Green was already ensconced in his favourite booth, in a shadey corner, where the shadows masked the greater part of his bulk. Surrounded by deepening shadows, tastefully dark wood and solid seating, with a good ale sitting before him in a jug, the mountain was content. He had been patrolling the dirty dregs of Sacramento's bars recently, seeking rumour and whisper; the mystic juice only he could taste, too, if truth be told - but that came with the cost of poking and prodding the miserable hordes and frankly, their oft repeated tales of woe were getting... stale. The opportunity to simply sit and reflect over a jug of pale ale was refreshing.

He caught sight of the Twilit Page, looking out of place.

"Morgan? Yeah. Morgan. Hey! You look like you need a drink. Sit down, yeah. You starting to look obvious."

His voice, deep as caverns are deep and just as resonant, called out from his shallow pool of shadow.

Morgan started in surprised as her name was called out by the familiar deep voice. It was fortunate she'd not been carrying any drinks at the time. The voice was quickly recognized and the source spotted: Green. Just the man-mountain she'd been looking for. Morgan sighed in relief as she made her way to the dark booth. She shrugged her pack off and put in in beside her as she slid into the booth, taking the seat across from Green.

She greeted him with a nod, "Heh-hallo Green. Drink tis always good, save-with-dehydration-bad-hangover-result. Er-uh, I k-kinda been look-looking for ye. Oh, eh-heh how have ye been doing-ing?"

"Lookin' for me? Now that is new. Well... I'm here." He said simply while the little Beast scrambled into the booth. He watched impassively as she got comfortable, staring over his ale jug.

"Whats up?"

Morgan nodded her head rapidly, "Y-y-yada yes, heh-here ye be. Ummm, one minute p-p-please," she turned to her backpack beside her. Rummaging through it, she pulled out a steel amulet that had its metal heated so that it was anodized into a dark bronze hue. She presented it to Green, "Uh-heh-heh, gift-t from a friend-to-a-friend, yes? Heh-hoping it helps make, uh, the earth-ish trick ye heh-have as club member...easier." She looked a little confused as she tried to speak on changeling affairs in public.

"Fer me?" Green's face, usually limited in emotional capacity, broke into a surprised but not unhappy stare. The frown that came next hinted that the Elemental was reaching out with his senses. He reached out with a tentative hand.

Morgan nods her head and places the pendant into Green's hand, "Yu-yuppers. C-commissioned g-gift for ye, heh. I f-figure, uh," she leans into whisper: "Since my fi-fi-flame one works as a Catch wid fire-heat meh-beh this gift will aid ye in dah zzame way. P-plus," she leans back and smiles, "I thought-t-t it could be a godo-good-ma-gift, erm...heh-sorry. A good gift."

Thick fingers closed on the pendant as the mountain slowly withdrew his hand.

"Thanks. Yeah. Great gift. Uh. Um. Do you want a drink or something?"

Can Green use Kenning on the Pendant, please?

It may be the case that all of Sacramento's courtiers were alcoholics. They frequented bars and never turned down a drink. Morgan wouldn't break that trend, "S-sure, thanks. Beer-er-er tis fine."

Sure.

"Stay there," Green rumbled.

The mountain shuffled out of the booth and while he did, he slipped the pendant into a pocket. He went straight to the bar and ordered another beer. Returning to his seat with the prize, he gently placed the perspiring glass before the little Beast.

"Eh. Drink up, yeah?"
