Details were repeated and filed in a monotone as bluish eyes watched the coffee prep. Don't spike it, yo. Hands wrapped around the warm cylinder and a tentative sniff was taken. Gross.

"Gosh, thanks, prof. You've been a super big help, we really appreciate it." It's hard to sound innocently grateful after threatening to caramelize someone's esophagus, but someone has to do it. "You sure there's nothing else, right? Nothing you're forgetting we'd have to come back for?"

The mop bobbed at the door. Okay, Fanta.

"Actually, I'm rather sure it was natural. What naturally exists in this universe is just far more diverse, and far more unpleasant, than most sheep care to acknowledge. I would imagine someone like yourself to be more aware of that fact, professor. Haven't you heard a plethora of folk tales? Stories told by those who are surrounded by nature in all it's profusions? Well, not that urban spaces are much better, actually. You wouldn't believe what I ran into in Manhattan," Coco waxed on with a flippant wave of her off hand.

Armitage remains curled into a defensive stoop; mind and body are closed now. She glares, as if the expression will make the pair vanish into the ether.

Silly rabbit. An Obviously Skeptical look was offered at the soliloquy as feet padded towards the door. See? Answer the Questions, everyone's happy. Moving right along.

"Oh, and, hey, thanks again, Prof." Wait for the door to close. When it does? Dark bitter liquid was poured into the grass.

"So, like, now what? Scene of the crime? We should probably, like, ditch the book. That wack job may want it back. Not that wack job," the mop bobbed towards Professor Armitage's house. "The other wack job."

"Next we must find the original wack job and question her more thoroughly now that we have some idea of what happened," Coco replied as they strode away from Armitage's house, leaving the distraught professor to whatever solace was left to her.

"Oh! Speaking of which, I remember another Armitage! Agatha Christie had an Armitage. I knew I was forgetting one!" the Wasp added with a snap of her fingers.

Wintermute. Armitage. Case. Seriously, the book read like a book of s'names. Like a book of baby names, but for newly Awoken.

"It's an old book, 'Neuromancer', but I guess Christie is pretty old, too. Did you know it's actually Dame Christie? She was knighted. Okay, well, technically it's Dame Commander Christie, but that sounds a little weird. I think the Brits like knighting media darlings, you know? Lot's of actors, too." Was it relevant? Maybe. "In 'Neuromancer', Armitage is kind of like a power broker."

Khakis trailed behind Fanta, studying the cup.

"He got people to chase things for him."
