(Threads of Blood) Shards

Ripper smiles through bloodied teeth as Animus' claws land home. The force behind Leo's rapier slows to a crawl due to the Scelestus' Armor of Bones. However, it isn't slowed down enough to not hit home and the wicked steel glints as it slakes its thirst on its enemy's blood.

Sunken, hollow eyes languidly move to the offending weapon. The mad-smile is still plastered on his face as his Nimbus surges around the world around him flashing in decay, rot, and tarnish. It is a vision of the world he bestows upon Leo Lockheart's Rapier, annihilating the atomic bonds of the sword – bit by bit.

Tarnish and Rust begins to blossom like macabre flowers along the blade.

Now.

She moved, languishing in the slowness, pushing through by the exhaustion of the Anomoly that washed over them.

But one thing was sure. She had a plan. She had orders. She would execute them.

With a push of effort, she put hands on the Scelesti. The image that she transmitted to her allies? One of her tripping the woman and going to ground with her, making her vulnerable to attacks in hand-to-hand range. A moment later, both of them in an immobilizing hold. More vulnerability. Opportunity. A suggestion in there, recommending just a moment's delay to allow her to do what she was going to do, to see if it were possible, and then an opportunity to seize the day with all their might.

Maybe it would work. Maybe Obsidian would escape. Undoubtedly, she would make Asp hurt for it. But she would do her damndest. The non-combatants needed help.

All-Out. Asp's defence for round one is le sacrificed. Asp's STR is 3 for the purposes of overpowering.

Leo's command made no sense. It was a simple order, true, but her frame of mind had no way to reference it. She wasn't here to protect. Not anymore. No, she was here to kill. Asp suggested a target, and that was just as good as the other, so Avis lurched into motion, trying to force her limbs to move against the vacuum of energy and inertia that they were trapped in. Her eyes quested about in the dark while she moved, hunting for a sword to use, but she found none.

It didn't matter. She was a sword.

Perhaps just a rough one.

Avis casts Psychic Assault (covert, no mana) on Ripper and moves as close to him as possible.

A symphony of violence and desperation precedes. Animus rips into Ripper, catching blood upon his claws while Leo's rapier also slakes its thirst. Pain from Ermon rips through the network, while Ariadne's psychic sword is useless against the oppressive force of the Anomaly and Obsidian's formidable might.

One thing is for sure, the Rapier might not make it through the fight.

Asp hurls herself into the fray, constricting the Shedem.

Was Avis as sharp as the other swords in the fray? Perhaps sharper than she gives herself credit for; a person is always sharper than the blade they wield. Her bullets land home in the recesses of Ripper's mind and his head snaps back due to its force.

Another warlock draws a wicked blade.

It's only just begun.

Animus throws his arms wide, accompanied by a snarl of feral rage. Look at me. I'm here, I'm dangerous.

Those same arms come scissoring together, paws lancing out in a blur of motion in defiance of the ever-present drain on his muscles. The Shaman grins viciously at the shock of claws meeting flesh, flecks of blood spattering himself and his prey.

In her grapple, Obsidian turns towards Asp and opens her mouth. A tongue, blackened and moving of its own will, and made of maggots can be seen out of the Arrow's eye. Obsidian says a word, whispers really, to Asp; her Abyssal tongue writhing with delight.

Whatever she says, it's in the horrible inflection of the Low Abyssal Tongue. It is a perversion of High-Speech threatening to drag Asp's soul down into the inky depths of despair.

LEGION Attainment 1 (Tongue)

Asp must roll Composure + Gnosis or be smacked with the Hysteria Derangement until she gains 1 or more points of willpower

There isn't that much Ermon can do to help his formiddable teammates at this point, only help keep the enemies off-balance. It's quite obvious, the Thyrsus bitch already has her hands full but the Ripper could use some additional distraction.

Unfortunately, the Anomaly makes his throwing arm feel like lead and everyone has gone and decided to freaking touch insane Abyssal Mages so there's no way to throw anything in there and not hit Animus or Avis. So the Warlock bides his time contemplating how cooked his internal organs are right now.

The ground was taunting her, refusing to divulge it's deadly treasures.

It changed nothing. Her purpose was clear, her Will bent towards reaping destruction.

Her Will wasn't impervious to the tendrils of frustration, however, and the psychic attack spilled imperfectly from her mind towards that of Ripper.
