Jonokuchi stood, silently, as the the others spoke of the matter at hand. He certainly had strong feelings for those who cheated as it was such corruption that had laid his own destiny along the path.
He nodded to Mace's greeting. The sumo had yet to experience what she was like, and so, she was still to earn his trust.
"Jonokuchi," the Warlock replied to Pepper. "And do we know where this man has been working?" he asked, looking back towards Striker.
Pepper gave a nod to Mace as she showed up. It wasn't really any surprise that she was a little late, though the Ladder was relived when she didn't have to text the Moros.
"Yeah, It's wrong at worst, troubling at best. There's definitely at least one mage involved. What legit worried me is how flashy he's being. 'Lookitme Lookitme!' Bait? But I can guarantee you that the people running these games want his ass, cheaters aren't liked." She shrugged and added, "So this might partially turn into keeping him out of Lake Tahoe."
Not that she really believe the organizers would do the old cement shoes thing - they'd be far more likely to shoot him.
"I haven't heard any specifics about where he is either, just 'Around'... If we have to I can make my chances higher for entering the same place he's at and trying getting into some games."
"I know a couple of blokes I can ask about where things are happening. More likely 'n not they'll 'ave heard it from people who've just lost everything to the bastard. That might help us find a starting point for you to focus your Fate spell on." He stressed the word 'might'. Street bums saw at lot of what went do on the street, but the most they'd know is where people went, not what actually happened. He made a note to watch what Pepper did with the Fate Arcanum seeing as he'd only recently picked it up. He was always looking to see where he could learn another trick or two, within his order and path or without.

"We should be careful of assuming he's Awakened," Mace said slowly. "I do think there's something supernatural going on, but we should be careful of bias." Adaptability is Strength, after all. She nooded at Striker. "If your contacts can give us a couple of haunts, that'd be a great start," she added.
With Mace's words, Weavebreaker couldn't help but smile, having said something rather similar before Mace and some of the others had arrived. With a approving nod, her attention shifted to Striker, as he may be the only potential for a lead right now. She glanced down for a moment, thinking about that. There has to be other avenues...
"Do we even have a last name for Ace? Oh forgive me. I am Weavebreaker, by the the way. Arrow as well." Weavebreaker eyes shot to the ground, as she thought about other paths of information. She reached into her pocket to see what she could dig up on her phone, searching "Underground Poker Sacramento."
Intelligence+Computers
Doing good research on a telephone in just a few minutes was really hard. Small screens. No note paper. But Weavebreaker did find as she scrolled through a mention about Ace on some random shitty-looking internet forum:
Ace Larson never loses. The guy either folds, or he wins. One of these days, the guys running the game are gonna get tired of him and he's gonna find himself sprouting some new holes in his chest.
Teeramus - Ima need a Manipulation+Persuasion+Contacts from you for that.
"Are there any casinos in Sacramento?" Jonokuchi asked, waiting for Weavebreaker to check her phone, doing what she done best. He looked down at his shirt, feeling slightly strange in wearing it.
It certainly wasn't a kimono.
"If so, we should start there."
