    "Zoey"
    Sheet

If her messenger bag has been mentioned, Zoey is carrying an old leatherbound journal, two bottles of gatorade and a waterbottle, a change of clothing, a second small pistol, a couple of snacks and a variety of miscellaneous objects. Don't question a woman's purse.

Calling something ‘home’ in any way felt strange for Mandy. But this was… home, now, in essence. She’d brought her things in her car – what little of it there was – and the rest would just have to be workable in some way. It was going to be a long day of settling in.

So it was across dark floors she strolled, disturbing the small amount of dust that was in place as she took in the beautiful purple scheme of the building with a little smile, her fingers drawing a line along the dust on the counter. There was cleaning to be done, at the very least, but thankfully there were definitely places for a rest.

The concession area, for instance, had built in booths that lined a wall, pretty chandeliers hanging above each table and looking somewhere between mystical and eerie as she flipped the lights on and watched a couple spiders retreat along their webs in search of a reprieve of darkness.

A few of the lights above clearly needed to be replaced, as well, a couple of bulbs flickered while there were some that were simply out altogether. Seriously, she was sending Cut up any ladders required to change bulbs or whatever else. If there were any Vox present… she would’ve let them climb their damn ladders. The notion amused her.

A few of the floor lights, as well, seemed to need replacing in a few places by the lounges outside of each theatre, and an ever more amused part of her thought it would be hilarious to have Cut on a ladder changing bulbs, and Asp bending over to replace the floor lights… hah! Would Cut manage to get anything accomplished? That sounded like such fun.

Moving into the first theatre she encountered, she leaned a little heavily on the door before it finally opened and she snapped on a light, setting the backpack she’d had over her shoulders down there. Claimed. Why? Because she didn’t care to fuss with everyone about rooms, so she was just taking this one damnit. Plus, it had the clearest path of exit to the front doors.

As purple as the concession area was, however, this particular room boasted a dark blue theme, the same sort of whimsical paisley patterning decorating the walls of it as seemed to in so many of the other rooms. Her feet made barely a sound as she padded to sit herself on one of the chairs, wondering at the notion of turning the projector room into an office space – somewhere to set up her computer and research things in relative peace and quiet…

... and living with her derps, she was really going to need all the peace and quiet she could get.

    Packing? Too easy, yo.

Aside from basic toiletries, he hadn't bought anything in Sacramento besides food, the bike, and laundromat time. Which meant he was still traveling light. One pack with four changes of clothing, and his gear. The secret to packing clothes was rolling. He hadn't planned on staying at the Circle. Still a little weird, cathedral and all, and felt like a boarding house. It also screamed FNG. Not Awesome Established Contributing Member of Awakened Society. Because Moxie.

Well. He did have some stuff, but that was from a stop a hardware store between the Circle and... Sanctum. Which, what the hell? The needed a sweet name. Like... The Screening Room. No. Apex of Moxie. No. House of Cards. Yeah, he liked that, but the others wouldn't. But, damnit, it needed a name. Like the Fortress of Solitude had an awesome name. Superman didn't go back 'home'. The Avengers didn't go back to 'office building'. Stark Tower, yo.

Names. More important than you think.

He had to stop twice to go back and retrieve the propeller hat after i had blown off. After the second time, he stuffed it in the pack. He'd tried. He wasn't a welsher. Legit tried. So he put it back on when he arrived. Awwww yeah. The hat? All business on the sides and all party on top. Because propeller.

Loved the placed. Like, loved it. He was never leaving. Ever. The house-sized room? Awesome. The dust? Not so much. He pulled one of the dust masks he'd gotten from the hardware store out and put it on. Between the hat and mask... well. Whatever. Own it, yo. Own. It.

Too many doors. Note that. It would be a total job to get the place secure. Later.

He took the fourth theater from the left, or next to last from the right. Why? Biggest alcove by it's door. He could hang there, when he wasn't in his Sanctum Sanctorum Theater Room.

That was done. Where was everyone? Someone had turned the light on.

    "HELLLOOOOOOOOO?!"

OK, that was going to be a pain in the ass. Get that phone out and text some digits.

    Asp

Asp, for her part, had taken up residence in the theatre between Cut and Ozymandias. Frankly put, she would have preferred to be in the room closest to the most likely breaching points. That was either the front door or the rear door - but this way, the two Guardians were evenly spread between the Talons.

Tactics. These were her people, now.

Her 'room' (read: giant fucking movie theatre awesome room) had had Tarantino playing in it the night before as she got set up. It was dark blue, as theatres were wont to be, and the seats were all cleared. Not bad. She'd set up her couch where one of the rows used to be, front and centre, aimed straight at the screen with little end tables on either side of it. For the moment, it was sort of stark and spartan. Not many personal touches, just yet.

There would be time for that. And part of the reason the room didn't look like anyone slept there was because nobody did. Asp had set her big ol' bed up and thrown a nice rug down in the projector room. She had line of sight down into her room through the windows, but the security of an unexpected exit and entry point into any problematic situations that could arise here.

Plus, the young Obrimos was a bit like a bear. Or a snake. She liked caves, smaller rooms where she felt secure. Her wardrobe had been set up against the wall. Naturally, there was a projector, too, 'cause movie theater. Maybe it wasn't making the busiest use of her giant room downstairs, but she'd get there. These things took time.

Asp had basked in the ambient Mana of the Hallow that morning in an effort to get her complicated breakfast spell up and Cloaked. It had helped, of course, but her casting had just not gotten there. Her second attempt was much better, and to be a good neighbour, she pulled Mana from her own Pattern rather than using up more than her share of their little cabal's daily resources. It was nice, having the spells under the cloak of Prime. Having Mana again simply felt better.

The Arrow was walking back from their newly constructed shower room when she heard Cut shout. She was wearing shorts and a tank top, and her hair was all wrapped up Sultan-style in a black towel. "We need an intercom system," she called back as her feet flipflopped over the floor. "How you doin'? All set up?"

This was so fucking awesome. She had to resist the urge to have popcorn for breakfast.

Vulgar: Color drains from the immediate area and depth perception becomes temporarily skewed, everything seeming to draw in uncomfortably close, making rooms smaller and all but distant objects seem in reach.
Vice: Color drains from Avis and her facial features seem indistinct and grainy, as though her identity is growing less defined.
Virtue: Colors appear more vibrant and everything seems to become grander in scale.

The quiet rumble of speakers turned up waaayyy too loud thrummed behind Asp and Cut's walls. Sure, the theaters were mostly sound-proof, but any serious movie-goer knows that there were inevitably times when the boom of explosions from the action movie next door couldn't be kept at bay and would vibrate the room and nudge the audiences attention away from any movie without an intense soundtrack. Blame the cinema sound techs, or maybe the theater for turning the volume up that loud, but in the 21st century of hearing loss, loud sold tickets.

Of course, there were no tickets being sold at this theater, so the only person to blame for the sound pollution was the last member of the Veiled Threats. For the Talon Warlock Avis, the theater rooms weren't home yet. She didn't have money for a bed, or a desk, or any furniture to help make it liveable. She barely had enough money for food, but that would all change soon and by the start of the next month she'd start settling into the building. In the meantime she embraced one of the only luxuries built into her room and had cranked the volume on some Neurosis while she simply wandered around her space, pondering the future. She'd land a job soon, and that would open up all sorts of possibilities for furnishing and decoration. After that would come living with the others; seeing their faces every day, probably sharing meals, and doing things like collectively watching Tarantino or training in the dojo. It would be a whole new existence. Or rather, a return to something like the one she'd lost over a decade ago. It was tempering, it was exhilarating, and it also reminded her of white and yellow flowers, so she blasted a windstorm of noise around her to help obliterate the things she tended to dwell on.

In her own world of sound, the voices of her cabal-mates were temporarily lost.

Mandy couldn't help but sigh heavily to herself as she heard little bits of ruckus outside, her fingers pressing to her temples as she moved to gather another load of things from the car. Oh good. Hooray. The gang was all there. Somehow of all the groups she could think of, right now she felt more like they were the Mystery Machine gang above anything else. Asp was Daphne. Avis was Fred. Cut was Shaggy.

... and she'd at some point pulled an idiotic enough thought from thin air that living with them was a good idea. She granted barely a wave to the duo in the hall as she headed back to her car. Why?

He bounced his backpack on his shoulder.

    "ull e uh."

Darn dust mask. He pulled down around his neck. Gave the propeller a twirl.

    "All set up!"

Black? He'd have called that for Avis. Totes.

"I'm still, you know, having trouble believing this. Awesome. Awesome. We, uh, need to all get together? To talk? Because we totally need to let everyone know this is claimed. Right? Unless it's different in this city? Do you know? You've been here longer than me."

He leaned sideways to yell over Asp's shoulder.

    "MAAAAAAAAAN-DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!"

    Asp

Asp laughed. "That hat looks great on you, Cut," she said, the smile on her youthful face fully reaching her eyes. "And yeah, we need to figure some stuff out. Our Sigil-Holder. Our sigil, itself. Who our Banner Warden is going to be. That sort of thing, so we're ready to declare ourselves and this Sanctum to the Herald." That last part, Asp wondered what Avis was going to think of. Would Avis want to fight the challenges for the Cabal?

As Mandy trudged by like a huge sourpuss, she waved brightly back. There would be no Mandy raining on her parade.

She grinned as Cut yelled, and added her voice to the mix.

"YOU LOOK STUNNING THIS MORNING, MANDY! DID YOU HAVE A NICE SLEEP?"

"I hate you both!" she called back, her tone seeming to have the cheerful ring one might put if they were telling a friend 'I love you, too!' as she made her way out, and then returned with a couple of things from the car that she soon placed in the theatre that was her 'room.'

"If you guys have nothing better to do, there are some bulbs that could use changing," Mandy added, quirking a brow at the pair. "Or cleaning to be done."

Asp? Got a weird look. Whoa, girl. That's a whole lot of serious talk for NSA Hallow action. Right?!

"Oh. Oh. Oh, heck no. I'm scared of heights,"
    he shook his head vehemently.

    "You could fall."

Falling, as everyone knew, was entirely personified with suck.

"But, ummmm, hey, like, I was thinking, we need to square up with the,"
he made a circular gesture, "Others. In the city? Let them know this is claimed. That's usually A Thing."

    "Where's, uh, darn. Where's Avis?"

He looked around, following his ears, and a lanky arm stabbed out towards a door.

"I took that one, because it was empty, so that one? Must be Avis? Ummmm. She should be here, right? Asp? Mandy?"

Come on. Boys didn't barge into Girls rooms unannounced.

"Oh, and, hey, I got dust masks if anyone wants one."
He tapped the one around his neck.

Asp shrugged at Cut's weird look. "Okay, okay. Representative and the one who fights challenges when we get challenged, if you like those terms better," she said teasingly. She laughed at Mandy's back as she went out the door and placed her finger on her nose. "Avis is totally more ladder-friendly than me. Also, she's getting that duty because she's not here. I'll bust out a mop."

She followed the stabbing, lanky arm. "Yeah, I'll go get her."

Her fist rapped hard against the door of the theatre before she opened the door slightly to confront the the wall of sound that was coming out of the other Arrow's room. Whatever. She murmured in High Speech and directed the sound of her voice in a path flowing directly into the center of the room and then out from there, rather than spreading out from the point of her saying it.

"Avis, got a sec?" She spoke in a regular voice. No need to yell, with Forces.

Also, she totally didn't want to meander on in on the girl changing.
