It was late as Jayant made his way towards the library that was within the boundaries of Sacramento University, so he knew it would take more than one trip to gather the research required, and without being a student at the facility there would be no way to take the necessary books back to Circe's haven to peruse at his leisure. However, in his mind, time was not yet of the essence and he wanted, no, needed, to ensure he gathers all the correct information to make the memoriam and next court a success.

And it would be a success, he was certain. Following his meeting with Ishani, Jayant had been in a jubilant mood, his sense of worth and belief flooding back as if the Mekhet had never questioned his faith, and for the first time since recovering, Jayant felt complete once again, the doubt that plagued him and his abilities disappearing like a breeze blowing away smoke.

“Excuse me, where can I find the section on Mythology?” He asks, politely, his hands clasped before him as he smiles quite innocently. The librarian on the late shift looked him up and down, over her small glasses, trying to take him in. Wearing a pair of khaki slacks, a dark grey pullover covering a white polo shirt, and a pair of white sneakers, Jayant looked no different to the thousands of students she sees each week, which was entirely the point. It was the most money Jayant had ever spent on clothes and had cut into his stipend quite deeply.

However, the results were worth every penny as she coolly guided the Gurkha to the section he was after. Thanking her, Jayant began to scan the bookcases for the relevant information, picking a varied and wide selection. Carrying them over to a nearby desk, Jayant switches on the little lamp and gets comfortable, taking out a pen and note pad, making some small notes as he flicks and scans the pages.

Gaia: Greek Goddess of the Earth.

Eingana: Australian/Aboriginal Creator goddess and mother to all water, animals and humans.

Izanami-no-Mikoto: Japanese Goddess of creation and death, former wife of Izanagi.

Mut: Egyptian mother goddess.

Nuwa: Chinese creator goddess.

Jayant looks at his watch, a small but precise military timepiece, and along with his kukri, it is the only other item that can always be found upon his person. The library would be closing soon. Packing away the books, he gathers his belongings and leaves the building, scanning the shadows for any trouble. Witnessing nothing and no-one, Jayant heads for the rack. He was getting hungry and would need to keep his wits about him, especially now he was focusing on something else other than his own negativity.
