True to her word and her resourcefulness, Claire indeed arranged a private helicopter for the group to investigate their clues. She had even procured a freelance photographer, to boot, and as her shiny Ghost pulls up to the location, she receives a message on her phone with his ETA via taxi. The helicopter was already prepared, but it does rather annoy her at having to wait another few minutes for the final piece of this plan.

She'd killed time on the way over, of course, enjoying the sights of the city a bit while the flight plan and preparation were worked out - they should proceed nicely over all of the suspected sites at an elevation which would allow for marvelous views. So she very much hoped that Redfill and Raluca would provide no additional delay, but the imitation of breath did keep her calm. Or it's possible that was the Mozart's doing, but the important fact was that she was in the lead - as it should be.

Michael is right on time in his Porsche, carrying a briefcase with his freshly recharged laptop. On the way he looked some more at the city using Google Maps. 3D images and satellite maps were especially useful. Inside, he's quite disappointed that they didn't get one definitive answer to the riddle. There must have been one. Still, why have resources and friends if you don't use them in situations like these.

One of his better ideas while he was back at his Have was to call up some of his academic friends famous for their interest in architecture and affinity for working straight through the night and ask their opinion on what the solution to such a riddle might be. He disguised it as city knowledge trivia that a friend of his used to test him to avoid suspicion. It was quite common for the doctor to contact people somewhere near midnight so it wasn't too much a bother, although at least one colleague had been woken up by him and overall they weren't too helpful.

I beseech of our gentle Overlady Chrisie that we might proceed when the celestial spheres permit.

Redfill manages to grab a contact on the 'phone. Someone who was rushing out to a University alumni fund raising dinner. He promises to give the question some thought and get back to him soon. But, he reckons, it's probably something to do with some wacked out art college project or something, or an architects model. A mural, maybe? Anyway, he urges, he'll give it some thought.

Once everyone has climbed aboard the chartered Bell 206 Jet-Ranger, the pilot is soon pulling on his ear defenders and beginning the take-off protocols.



The soft green glow from the compact instrument panel in the cockpit is obvious...but so too is the terrible tremble of the helicopter. The noise and vibration only increases and the sound of the turbines and engine rises and the need to be attentive to the pilots introductory talk is now made important.

The pilot introduces himself as Peter and begins to spend a few moments covering in-flight safety rules and that, as you've chartered the craft, you have about a two hour flying time and range of about 300 miles...and it's all yours!

In cheerful tones he assures you that the Bell 206 has the best safety record of any helicopter in the world...

...though the passenger space is a little cramped, the glazing of the cockpit and observation windows is more than adequate to give some good solid visibility for all in the craft.





The noise becomes almost unbearable, but within 10 minutes the Bell 206 is soon ascending!

Within moments the bright lamplights of the airport as falling below and the cityscape begins to reveal itself.

Claire sits stoically, an exceedingly high quality camera at the ready, and is prepared to silently survey all points on the plan they'd constructed. She had provided the pilot with their course plan already, but has extra copies ready just in case.

Her country club social circles had thought it silly for her to have a printer installed into her Rolls Royce, but clearly the eccentric Financier was having the last laugh. Metaphorically speaking - she was far too classy to cackle.
