The Freehold's Crown by Key

Five changelings looked at eachother, then at the ruins in front of them.

It was Midnight.

It was apparently the best time considering the holidays surrounding this particular day (November 28th) no one wanted to be up and around and actually paying attention to the still needing to be cleared ruins of the Four Seasons.

No building had honestly been started in it’s place, the only thing that could actually be seen in the, now contained, burnt out wreck of a hotel was the crossing of beams.

Each of the five changelings had a small letter that had been delivered to them in the most expedient way.

There is something that is necessary, the Freehold is crumbling, from what has been seen there is the need to reclaim the Freehold Crown. It was last seen in the freehold commons, but in the haste of Winter’s departure it will take more than a trek, the original door is destroyed.

Stripes looks over the letter one more time before raising his head to the others.

"You're all here for the same thing?" he guesses, folding the paper into his pocket.

The tiger can feel his few trifles sitting there. Hopefully they'll be of some use in what's to come. The tiger doubts that they'll find the crown by just shifting through what's left of The Four Seasons.

Looking over the lot, Stripes is glad to see Marcus, Al, and Tally. All faces he's familiar with. Jack not as much so, but the rabbit looks somewhat familiar. Stripes knows he's seen her at some freehold functions.

Tally mentally reviews the letter as she as she smiles at the sight of the others. "Guess so." She replies to Stripes question.

She's wearing a knapsack filled with things she thinks will come in handy. Wearing a orange hoodie, black jeans, and runners. Her gaze turns to the ruins, in her mind, she's more then able to paste over the sight with the hotel that she had called home for pretty much two years.

She gently shakes her head and focuses on the others.

Equipment: right jean's pocket is pocket mirror and in knapsack is three bottles of 250 ml water, sandwich size zip lock bags of trail mix, dry mango, and raisins, matchbox, flashlight, pocket knife, and a First Aid Kit

[Al-Adin]

Al-Adin shows up in his "work clothes" Black cloth, dozens of pockets, and a huge grin on his face. Mrs. Rosemary wants him to go find the crown. She wouldn't mind if he tries it on for a little bit though right? Just to see whats its like?

"Heya!" He calls out to his friends who are good and on time like that. Being on time is hard when you get lost.

Marcus nods to Stripes.

"Looks like..."

The metalflesh is wearing rugged boots with jeans and a charcoal henley. He has his trusty rucksack slung over his shoulders and the handle of his ax can be seen sticking out at an angle. In addition to a few clif bars and a couple bottles of water, the backpack also contains his hedge bounty-augmented first aid kit and a warm sweater. One hand in his pocket, he feels his multitool next to the twig and plum that he brought along... just in case.

"Alright, Stripes... Tally... Al?"

Looking around at the four beasts, the elemental almost feels like a party crasher. He knows he's seen the bunny girl around, but can't seem to put a name to her face. Walking right over to her, he offers his hand as he introduces himself.

"Alright? I'm Marcus Evan."

"Aaah, Jack. Seen you around a couple times," Stripes recalls, smiling his fanged smile at the rabbit.

He holds out a paw, claws retracted naturally, to the winter beast as she finishes her handshake with Marcus.

"I'm Stripes, Autumn's Paladin," he says. "Nice to finally meet you."

"Man, this is going to be so awesome!!" AL-Adin cannot contain his excitement about going on a quest with a bunch of friends.
"And Jack's here! Hey Jaaaaaack!" Al-Adin calls with joyful glee to the hare.

[Tally Benoit]

"And I am Tally Benoit, Courtless." Tally introduces herself to the Winter Courtier. She smiles warmly over to Al before glancing towards ruins once more.

"So you guys think the Hotel's Hollow is over run by the Hedge and Hobs by now?" She asks the others around her after a minute of looking at stones and ruined burnt wood, her face taking a more sober look.

A cool wind blows through the changelings, it may be Thanksgiving and they’re out doing things for the freehold, maybe they are the ones that everyone should be thankful for.

But then, the last time there was any real movement in this neck of the woods it was full of icespiderthings. and if they were heading towards the Hedge, they’d need to find a gate or something that could be a gate... or make one.

They could always make one.
