The Faithkeeper enters written in water and gives a polite wave to the person working behind the counter. She breathed in through her nose, letting the beautiful smell of the books, both old and new, fill her nose. That and the ground coffee beans just magnified everything. It was delicious.

Sally made her way to the stacks and ran fingers over the spines of the books, looking for whatever may pop out as interesting. She had planned to do some language research, but as with every time she walked into a book store, she quickly got lost in the beautiful nature of a book store.

The woman took a hair tie off her wrist and stuck it between her teeth, holding it there while she put her hair up into a pony tail. With her right hand she takes the tie and wraps it around the hair held by her left hand. With that done, back to the books.

There were days when even a Cop needed to take some time out and just read and all that. Especially since there was still somewhat of an open investigation concerning the shooting that had happened in the Water in Late December.

It had been announced both publicly and privately but it was good to see that the business wasn’t suffering in the long term. Especially considered the High Speech was still written on the outside of the building.

This time Vaeltia wasn’t dressed like a cop, not even a little, but she did know that it was Mid terms heading on finals for Sac State; and that was enough to give her pause. The Obrimos First Talon was in blue jeans and a white leather harley jacket over a red tank top. She had left her Motorcycle in the parking lot, this was only stop one for the day.

Vaeltia grinned at the Barista and owner as they tag-teamed the mini-coffee shop of the library-turned-bookstore.

Dash loved Mom and Pop bookstores. They typically didn't kick you out, you could sit and 'read' all day in a big comfy chair so long as you bought a cup of java and book once in a while. The High Speech outside had barely caused a stutter in his step. Unsafe huh? Whatever.

The trick to surviving on the streets was to be mindful of where you slept. Many afternoons had passed by for Dash as he dozed in a quiet corner of a bookstore. Those little cat naps wherever he could get them meant he spent less time asleep in more exposed locations.

The Dancer glanced around the store quickly before heading to the clearance rack. He started thumbing through the books looking for the cheapest one with a single minded focus.

Rubick was on his usual activity of exploring the city. The Acanthus was interested in creating a mental map of his own - out of pride to say he knew exactly where to go and more importantly, just in case of emergencies.

The High Speech engraved outside caught his interest. Now that's unusual... It was another piece to the puzzle that was Sacramento.

Then he spotted coffee! He was not one to pass up on getting a cup of brew as the Mom and Pop stores usually had the quality of a Starbucks without the price-tag. He entered and ordered a cup.

As the Faithkeeper begins stacking her books she smiles and hums a little hum to herself. Enjoy herself emencely. There are few things in life she loves more then books. Sally gives a polite smile to anyone whom she walks by and makes her way over to a table to begin her parusing. She said to herself that she would review the books before she bought them, but even that was probably not true. Chances are she would end up buying them all, and then have to pick up some tables to cover the damage to her checkbook.

Sally sat, pulled out her notebooks and journals, and began flipping through a book on the languages of ancient greece.

As the Obrimos walked further into the book store, she managed to pull a double take at one of the people in line.

It was just her luck, but she wasn’t about to get turf-wars on him, the Water was common ground, besides he had to have met the council by now.

Hey, Rube, Right?” she asked as she slid up next to him, a smile on her face.

Rawlins appeared. A canvas bag hung at his hip, the strap slung casually over his shoulder. He strode into the shop with an easy care, scrunching a piece of paper into his pocket. The older man had a curious look etched on his face, one which brightened considerably once he was inside and appraised the stacks before him.

He was humming contentedly as he hit the stacks.

Dash looked up from his perusal with a triumphant grin. He'd found an old copy of The Screwtape Letters. He quickly went to the counter to pay for the book and order a the smallest, cheapest coffee they had.

He was half paying attention in line, noting the familiar faces, and half counting out the ones and change in his pocket. Then an idea dawned on him.

He walked up next to Rubick.

"Make it two of whatever he ordered, and he's buying this book, too." He said with a chuckle and a grin, giving ole Rube a friendly smile.

And suddenly the two Arrows made themselves known. For an Acanthus, his luck certainly wasn't favoring him. "Make it three cups please, and yes, I will cover his book." If anything, placating the two militant magi would pay off down the road. He turned to the Cop and Dash, "Hello you two, how are you?"

Sally looked up as she saw the wolf enter, her eyes got wide, realizing that her joy of book hunting had made her do something completely and utterly stupid. Sally quickly took her things, put them away. Placed the books that belongs to the store on the Reshelving Cart and left as quickly as possible. Getting into her car, getting on the freeway and heading back to her rightful place.

Sally exits the scene as quickly as possible, without making a scene.
