Where the Asylum plays to darker fantasy, the Reverence is expected to impress the dedicated alternative club goer.

Block Party Rules: All are welcome. You can leave one location and move to another, but please keep it real and don't just jump out of one and into a current conversation in another.

For a year now, New Year's night at the Reverence has marked season well and is fast becoming a corner stone of the local Goth scene calender.

The interior design is traditional Goth fantasy. Complete with columns, sconces, and an elegant crystal chandelier - it strives for a strong theme of setting. With purple lighting and faux stained-glass windows to allow it's crowd to indulge their most luxuriant fantasy.

The gallery above the main area, with its stained glass windows, wrought iron balcony and long dark curtain velvet drapes, is a favorite area of the Goth elite - where it is very much the place to see...and be seen!

Upon entering the club party goers are given a wristband by the festive and Gothically attired staff...dressed in suitable silk top hats, capes and crisp white shirts for the tall gents; fishnets, top hats and tail-jackets for the ladies...they punch a simple hole in the entry ticket to show qualification for several free drinks at the bar and wish the arrivals a good evening.

Once inside it's clear that the first of the evenings eye-catching cast of dark themed cabaret and Neo-Burlesque acts are already circulating the crowds and warming-up the audience.

[Idun]

Idun arrives wearing cloths that blend into the Gothic scene, her hair is a bright blond while her bangs are purple, the back is done up in a french twist. Her nails sport purple nail polish while she wears some light make up, lip stick is black.

Once pass the door, she glances about the club, so far it appears that the others haven't shown up as of yet. She heads to the bar to order a drink while she waits for her fellow cabal members make there appearance.

[Terri Nutkins]

Entering her favourite club in the city, Terri was smiling, and had made no plans to meet anyone she knew. Instead, she was just going to see where fate took her. Wearing a red maxi skirt, a white lacy blouse and having her nails painted to match her skirt, Terri made sure her wristband was secure as she headed across to the bar, glancing to cabaret and burlesque dancers as she did.

Once at the bar, Terri ordered her usual vodka-Red Bull and while waiting, looked up the bar. Grinning, Terri gracefully slid along to Idun. "Sorry to bother you, but I just wanted to say your hair is pretty awesome!" Terri grinned, as warm and friendly as ever. "I'm Terri."

[Miach]

If Miach hd wondered if he could still party all night after what had happened to him, the Rage event had thankfully lifted that doubt. It was with a will to live on that he entered the Reverence. Esmeralda was beside him, of course. He was dressed in his usual party clothes, a white shirt, a loose tie, and a black suit, his blonde hairs barely combed. Esmeralda was wearing a daring grey dress that suited her splendidly.

The tall Acanthus didn't know whether any of his Cabalmate had come yet, so he began touring the place with his girlfriend, enjoying the various events, shows, displays as best he could. He often looked up at the balconies though, a chill down his spine as if anyone could come out from the drapes and threaten him from above. Oftentimes, Esmeralda would kiss him, or hold him to reassure him. It was she who spotted Idun, that she had met at the Asylum a few weeks before, and drew Miach toward his Shaman friend, even if she wasn't alone.

Hi Idun, how do you do ? did she start. Miach of couse took it in stride, and greeted the two ladies. Good evening ladies. Terri, a pleasure meeting you again after the Pipeworks. How are you doing ? He vividly remembered the petite and cute red-hair woman that doubled as one of the dastardliest skilled climber he had ever seen. He couldn't help but give her his "friendly smile"^TM, which earned him a very composed glower from Esme.

It was New Years, Perry diCarto was ready for a fun night out on the town. It had been an eventful year - one he would never forget. One that had changed his life forever. But surprising as it was, Perry was not out to forget it. No, tonight was about celebrating with the citizens of the city he called home, to soak in their Desire, and to remember what fun the sea of humanity could bring. This was perfect, as far as he was concerned.

Stepping into the bar, he took a look around for familiar faces, put a smile on, and headed on up to the bar to order his first of the night. The first of many, I should hope...

Who knew? Maybe he'd meet someone tonight. Or get new clients in the form of drunken idiots.

The second seemed preferable to him.

Toby wasn’t sure what to expect from The Reverence, and deciding on her dress took a little longer than it should have. As she walks into the club, she pauses to allow her eyes a chance to take in her surroundings, instantly liking the feel of the club and smiling. This even she was wearing a rather short, sequenced slip dress she had found while out a couple days ago. She wasn’t sure it would fit in or not, but being an Acanthus, she wasn’t over concerned about it. It doesn’t take her long to spot her Cabal mates and she makes her way over. Smiling to the group, “Hey Idun, love the outfit and hair!” she exclaimed, “Evening Miach and Esmeralda, amazing dress by the way!” she said with a nod of her head.

Vae had gotten the day off. It was a trade for Christmas, and something she had never noticed in the schedule her father had kept for years. But she figured she needed some time to have fun.

She would have asked West to go, but he had mumbled something nearly intelligible. He was probably doing something with his horses, or magic, or just generally wanted to be left alone. She left a mental note to herself to pick her Master up something to eat and drink, the thought of him spending a night like this alone put her off step.

The Obrimos had gotten ahold of Animus instead, after all, he was probably one of the closer friends she had.

She scheduled to meet the former Hierarch, Banner Warden to Banner Warden at the Reverence. She was dressed in a copper tone dress that went barely to her knees. Modest enough with the conservative heels, and the small flame barrette that was keeping her hair in a half-up, half-down style.

Animus

For his part, Animus was just happy to get away from the Sanctum. *Lately he'd been retreating inward, but he needed contact with people and a block party was as good an excuse as any. *The Thyrsus' own clothing choice is subdued; the recent attacks on the Consilium left the Arrow in him demanding to be prepared for anything. *Even when he knew that the worst threat likely to surface was a few rowdy club-goers.

It doesn't take long to find Vae inside the entrance, and he glances around meaningfully, taking in the architecture as much as the sea of people. *"I haven't been in this place in a long time."

Scanning and wandering the club, Perry couldn't help but notice the flaming red hair and petite frame of a particular lady he knew rather well - and talking to a young Goth, too! Party on, pretty lady! Grinning to himself for a moment, the Shadowsoul headed up to the bar a little way down from Terri to get himself some vodka and seven. As he waited for the drink, he shot Terri a playful little wink if he happened to catch her eye - but did not interrupt. If there was something goin on there, far be it for diCarto to be Interruptus Maximus.

Looking at least somewhat relaxed – something that was very unusual for him – Stephen Kite again walked into the Reverence, this time sans costume. Dressed in his typical semi-formal outfit, Stephen first took his time looking about the main floor of the club, gaining his bearings from the last time he was here, before finally walking into the establishment.


After sitting down at the bar, he started to visually scan the rest of the club, noting the other familiar faces that were present while he waited for his drink.

[Idun]

Idun turns to the newly introduced Terri, smiling as she replies, "Yea, it's kind of a hobby of mine. My little rebellion."

"Idun, it's a nickname. Nice to meet you, Terri." She says looks away from Terri to see a familiar face, or faces. "Hey Miach, ah, so you know each other?" She looks between the two.

Once Toby joins, she introduces Toby to Terri, "Good to see you Toby. May I introduce Terri?"
