Halloween Celebration

The University Voice was entirely true to its word. Several days after the announcement in the student-run newspaper, flyers began to appear around campus - and Sacramento at large, stating quite loudly that a first-come first-serve Halloween party would be taking place. It was located at one of the recently renovated warehouses, and was pegged to become a permanent club later in the year. But for now, as a promotional spin, the new owners of the development had allowed the Sacramento students to rent it out for the night.

This year, the Halloween party was aimed at the residents at large, as opposed to just the students. It meant that a greater variety of people were there - not that it mattered too much, considering the array of masked costumes that people were wearing. It was difficult to tell who anyone was.

It was even said that a couple of people from City Hall would be there, in Halloween disguise of course, to get the buzz on what residents of Sacramento were saying.

The doors opened at 6pm, and by 6:15pm a pretty decent selection of party-goers were already present inside.

Bandit wears a simple black hoodied robe and some old staff he bought broken from a pawn shop. He plans to leave it up to anyone just what he is while that super glue seems to be holding the three pieces of the staff fairly well. Under the robe, he is wearing a black T-Shirt and black sweat pants with wide, deep pockets where he keeps his wallet, two note pads, and three pens.

Mike could have avoided the public, but it was sort of expected that he would turn up. Occasionally. He'd even made sure not to drink, and he was pretty sure the party would be dry, since there'd be a bunch of underage students there, as well as the general public.

Or at least it would be officially dry. The huge athlete had been a student once himself. He knew what 'dry' actually meant.

    Tailgate bar.

He'd taken the time to make a pretty sweet costume, though.

Mostly because it might obscure his features just a bit, but he was pretty sure what was going to happen. Someone would spot him, and then there would be gossip, and camera phones.

But just for a little while, he was going to lurch around being a zombie cop.

    It was good enough.

Daysha was not about to repeat the bullshittery from last years costume hell. This time, she bought something that she’d at least wear a few more times and that she could relax in… and hide a few things.

Sporting her gangsta side, but the kind that had a tiny bit of dignity, the Detective walked into the place. There was no tommy gun of course, why bother. And her shoes were her dress blue shoes, not those cheap fucking heels that weren’t worth a damn. Well, maybe on dates… if she ever did that again.

But much to her surprise, she saw Mike there. …In a zombie costume…as a cop. Daysha actually chuckled out loud. She didn't recognize him because he was famous, but because they spent hours bsing in the basement of the crappy little bar.

April stepped inside the warehouse, excited about the party being held inside. Rocking a sexy Snow White look, she made her way around the place, smiling as usual. She was certainly looking forward to letting her hair down and relaxing a little. Between school work, looking for a part-time job and other matters, she hadn't had as much time to enjoy herself in quite some time.

Of course she was also looking forward to spend some time with Leonard Jaeger , and she was curious to see what he'd come dressed up as.

Sherlock Jaeger walked into the warehouse in an inverness cape and matching deerstalker cap. Not very original, but then again he hadn't had much time to plan for it. Still, it reflected the ideal sense of reasoning, a figure he idolized as a boy. What made it the costume perfect for him was the long-stemmed cherry wood pipe he was using to smoke out of. It gave the tobacco a strange woody taste but he was already getting used to it. Looking among the partiers, Jaeger searched for the girl who had invited him there, April Davenport . Since he didn't know what she had come dressed as he had to work harder to see through the disguises and costumes. What would the real Sherlock do, he wondered silently.

Bandit finds himself upon the dance floor, trying to keep up with this bottle blond of a vampiress. She had gripped his arm and pulled him along with her upon the floor. He almost lost his grip upon his staff when he received a sudden pull from the blond.

So far, the blond hasn't said anything, just enjoying the music and is likely a bit drunk. Bandit can only hope she didn't expect to have a serious conversation with him as he does his level best to keep up with her.

Doc Marcus arrived at the party, pulling up in his BMW and parking it nearby. He wasn't exactly the partying type usually, but why not? He could at least check to see who was around. Plus it never hurt to socialize. He didn't do it very often, aside from the nights in the basement of the Spiral with Daysha, Mike and Harlowe.

His costume was simple, yet iconic; Ryan was Greek tonight, in a white and blue toga. He had a laurel on his head, sandals on his feet, and felt... young? That was strange. He'd been so busy ever since the divorce and the bitch that had opened his eyes that he'd forgotten that feeling.

Looking around as he entered the party, the Doc looked around to see who was present as he winded his way through the crowd.

Mike decided that he was going to make a valiant attempt not to be dragged into signing anything, and lurched over to the nearest arrival, who happened to be a gangster Daysha. Good. She'd never once asked him for an autograph. Damn good thing too, how the heck would that go?

Let's fight monsters. Oooh, you're famous.

"Braaaains," he said lightly. "Also, zombie cop say gangster under arrest."

Daysha glanced around to some of the party goers. Sherlock and Snow White showing up along with some greekish doctor, reminded her a little of Plato or some shit like that.

The Detectives eyes lingered on Snow White, recognizing April from some time ago. At least her costume wasn't Whore White as most costumes like that were. She hated to ever say it out loud, but when people wore trampy fucking costumes they really wanted to bait men, and sometimes in the wrong way.

"And just what are the charges officer...drooly?" Her brow playfully cocked to MikeZombie.
