Blood Hunt

At 2:07 AM, the Prince's Harpy, Ishani, contacts the Prisci and Covenant leaders (including acting Carthian Prefect Taylor McCoy), the Prince's Hound and the Reeve with the following announcement:http://nwod.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2010

Let it be known to all that the Bloodhunt has been declared upon Jack Bennett and his unlawful Childe, Dr. Veronica Horton.

The Prisci and Covenant leaders are told to inform those under their purview that participation in the Blood Hunt is mandatory for all Kindred of the Domain.

At the same time, the Seneschal, Heathcliff Staley, posts the same announcement in all Elysia.

In short order, the majority of the Domain's kindred are made aware the Hunt is on.

The deputy, Konstantin, is patrolling the Rack area, watching for unknown vampires as the bars and clubs are shutting down for the night, when he receives the call from Ishani. As soon as he gets the call, he focuses instead on collecting up any of the Domain's vampires he sees afoot, to inform them of the Blood Hunt and their mandatory involvement.


Circe informs Jayant of the Hunt. She tells him to take Aesop with him, since Aesop won't have a clue who Jack is. She also phones all known members of the Circle, including Lori, Sean and Obsidian, and informs them they are to utilize their full abilities in pursuit of the hunt. She then calls her owl to her, explains what it is to do, and transfers her awareness into the bird, allowing her to see through its eyes.

Jayant bows to Circe upon receiving her orders and jogs to fetch Aesop, wondering where the peculiar Savage could be. His khukri is within its sheath beneath a small olive jacket, easily accessible.

Bloodhunt? Jack Bennett? How perturbatory.



And this is why we are civilized beings, Billy Austin thought as he scoured the Elysia notice. Rules are made for a reason.

Inside, he smiles. Actually, he smiles all over. It has been a while since he partook on such an activity as a bloodhunt, the last in company of his rather fierce Sire.

Jumping into his Jeep Wrangler and checking his armoury, Billy heads for the city streets once mroe, prowling for this Benett and his wayward Childe.

Myrmidon Taylor McCoy

Myrmidon McCoy had left Avalon minutes after Jack Bennett. In fact, when Taylor walked out -- he/she was pretty sure the tail lights way off in the distance of the street were Jack's. They must have stolen a car... The hunt didn't start for an hour though, and Taylor respected Clarke's ruling on that. For that hour, Taylor merely walked the streets of Sacramento, taking in the twilight scenery.

However, when the call came that the hunt was on, McCoy was in his/her car heading toward his/her house. They'd go there first, wanting revenge...

Warden Ith Lazarus

A bloodhunt? How rare...

Ith Lazarus, for once, was pleased that he was interrupted from his work. He hung up the phone, and immediately called for Harold to bring the car around. In short order, the Warden grabbed his electric medical saw, and an extra battery pack for it. Dr. Wilson was woken up and informed he would be monitoring the night shift for the remainder of the evening.

Harold Smith drove the car around with haste. The ghoul, being the victim of much abuse, came to desire reflecting the same abuse on others. The malicious smile of the ghoul made it clear he was hoping to land a few blows himself. Doctor and Guard locked eyes as they entered the car, both with a predatory understanding.

"We will examine the outskirts of the city, only a fool would stay inside it's boundaries while being hunted."

Inquisitor David Smith

David was peacefully reading the Testament, preparing for his part of the Inquisition when his cellphone rang. Answering it, the Inquisitor became informed of the good news of a bloodhunt. Thankfully his hair was done already. If you're going to kill, you need to look good.

Exiting the Al Hallows Church, David gets into his beat-up old Chevy, and hits the streets, looking for this Jack Bennett guy.

Ishani steps out of the hotel and gets behind the wheel of her car. She had not been expecting the bloodhunt, but she was glad Asa was making the right choice. She began driving toward the outskirts of town, wanting to begin the search in that area. Heading to the northern end of the city, she turns her radio up and starts to enter the mindset of the hunt.



Rosuto received the text on her cellphone and rolls her eyes. Of course every kindred is expected to participate. She was not sure how she felt about hunting down the former leader of her covenent, but she had to show some kind of effort or be accused of not upholding the Prince's law.

She gets into her car and begins to drive around town, starting in the downtown area. Maybe they would try to get a bite before they ran like hell.



Madison had seen the notice in Elysium and while she was not yet an acknowledged kindred, she could at least assist with upholding the laws of the current Prince. If she found the kindred the city was looking for, she could probably find an acknowledged kindred to finish them off. This way she would not get into trouble if the Prince decided to take offense to her involvement. She exited Avalon and headed into the heart of downtown.

[Joseph Hartman]

Joseph reads the announcement. ~Who are those people...~ He shrugs walking away from the posting. Not like it mattered, a bloodhunt was a bloodhunt and his Sire had said they were a good way to get known in town. Presuming Joseph wasn't on the receiving end. He gets to his car, turns it on and pulls onto the streets. ~Where to start where to start.....The highway probably but there are quite a few....~

Continuing to patrol, Konstantin sees a vampire he hadn't encountered before. She appeared to be of stronger blood than a neonate, so presumably she was not this Carthian's childe, but she was still an unknown, and since she was here, she was obligated to take part. He thus decides to approach her.

Madison notices a vampire with blood stronger than hers approaching. He is not very tall, but is quite muscular, and has a dark beard, thick, dark brows and long, dark hair. He wears jeans, hiking boots, a black t-shirt and a black leather jacket.

"I would talk to you," Konstantin says.

[Bo Albion]

Mariel is not too happy about participating in a bloodhunt. She tries to remember this Jack fellow. He was probably at the last Elysium. He must have one of those instantly forgettable faces, she decides. And of course, she hasn't got a clue what Dr. Veronica Horton looked like.

Mariel decides to go online and see if maybe there are pictures of the woman. It would certainly make the hunt easier if she knew who she was looking for exactly.

Arnold Culler was absolutely delighted at the prospect of a Bloodhunt. His Prince in Jackson commonly utilized them against those whom had drawn his displeasure, and more than once Arnold had been the one to dispatch the target in the end.

Arnold heads to the southern outskirts of town. The major cities of California, Mexico, they lied to the south. His mind nags that perhaps they'll head for Vegas, that he should be further east, but he allows the hunt to take its own course as he sits behind the wheel of his truck.

Sean was searching for the fugitives. He was. Walking around the rack if he saw anyone with a great big red X on their back then by God he'd be all claws and shit, rippin a fucker to shreds. Until then he wasn't gonna break a sweat for someone who was probably already well on their way to Oregon.

The important thing, in case any Kindred mucks saw him, was to LOOK busy.

Arnoud, not yet having heard anything from Taylor, is as of yet unaware of the Hunt.
