The Woven Circle Winter Solstice

David throws open the doors to the temple, a huge smile on his face. He is dressed in a long flowing robe, which cascades down his back to the floor, leaving a long train. It is a light green, with huge sleeves that fall to his knees.

The moon is high in the sky, but is obscured by the thick fog that covers the late mornings these nights. David doesn't seem bothered by the chill, as he welcomes all to the Winter Solstice.

The temple itself has been decorated with water. A large basin rests in the center filled to the brim with clear water, and around the periphery of the room are several cups and bowls also filled to the brim. There are a few pews along the walls of the building, but the rest is open space, the water's reflections scattering the colors of the rainbow across the room.

Truth be told, Lance Rayner did not really understand what Silver meant when he called for festive clothing. He had picked up a couple holiday sweaters he could wear when hunting so he could use the 'Oh I have to wear this because my parent/grandparent/niece-and-or-nephew bought it for me and I love them so much look at how good with family I am' line, but that seemed inappropriate for the occasion. Also, they were truly hideous and fit only for arranging them to be damaged at some point during the night so he could strategically remove them.

In the end he settled for a red leather blazer, a vintage shirt and some grey wool pants. Realizing what he's put together he gives up on pretending and finishes off the Durden look with a set of brown loafers and a pair of rose tinted glasses. No need to go halfassed on a look if you're gonna go with something. And he'll be dammed if he doesn't look good in it. Talk about perfect, you're not your fucking khakis indeed.

So that's the image that greets David Silver when he opens the door to the temple, Lance rocking the classic Fight Club look and not one bit ashamed. Shame is for people that can't reach the goals they set for themselves. Heh. Lance removes a toothpick from his lips and pockets it as he turns his smile on the man and extends a hand. "Hierophant Silver, good evening. Thank you for inviting me to this ceremony tonight. I really hope you're as excited as I am."

It was an honour to be invited along. Martha had no intention of fouling it up.

In keeping with the sacred aspect to the evening, Martha had made special efforts to bathe and clean and prepare for some time before setting off to join the others. Timing it as best she could. Lavender bath salts. Sandalwood scent. Minty toothpaste.

Gathering her hat and walking cane she made an eager path to the Temple.

Obeying the instruction to dress brightly, Martha dressed in a scarlet version of her usual gymslip. A matching red kneesock and sensible black Oxford pattern shoe. A clean and laundered white blouse and red necktie. Knowing the holly held mystical significance, she thought it a suitable gift to bring. She carried with her a large bundle of holly, the long stalks wrapped in a cloth of scarlet felt. Wearing a sprig of holly in her straw boater too. A scarlet blazer rounds out the college look. Two large scarlet ribbon bows tie up her twin tails. A dab of scarlet lipstick and blusher adds to the effect. The hem of this gymslip is slightly higher than normal. Not too high, but high enough to just expose an inch above her single athletic knee.

Skipping as she limps along, tiny Martha is eager to join the ceremony. Pausing as she approaches and studies the unfamiliar Beast ahead of her. Catching her breath. Gripping at the holly. Her Beast grumbles. Coaxing her to sudden violence. Frowning, Martha barely contemplates the potential ruin of her gift of sacred holly, but it is enough to just wrestle her Beast to control.

Carefully renewing her smile, she adjusts her gait as best she can. Hobbling along to carefully follow Jose.

Emitting no obvious Beast herself.

Watchful for any threat Jose may present.

Nodding and bobbing a respectful curtsey to those visible and already present. Waiting the opportunity to greet David.

Susan walks into the temple eager to get her first glimpse into how her new circle operates. She could already tell bye the inviting of outsiders that is wasn't as purist, which in truth was a relief to Susan. The focus on water was certainly an interesting twist she was not expecting but it was obviously well put together, she would have to compliment the Hierophant for his part in all of this.


As she enters she makes a special notice in the dress of others unsure of what exactly 'festive dress' meant she could only hope she made the right choice and didn't look like a complete fool. Though she quickly felt that her white dress decorated with purple flowers fit in just fine, even more so when she notices the man in a jacket and sweatpants.


As she closes distance to the gathered she feels her beast begin to stir at the presence of unknown beast among the crowd. Several stronger beast making her beast try to flee, but with a few deep breaths she manages to subdue her beast for now. She notices the Hierophant but with him in conversation with two others so she holds off approaching him out of respect as she scans the room casually.

The sight of the herald is a welcomed surprise but again she seems to be busy at the moment so Susan relaxes for the moment waiting for a chance to speak with the Hierophant.

"It good to see you Hierophant!" Susan says with a smile as he approaches her but she quickly focuses on the business at hand when he motions towards the two unknown 'guest'. Knowing Dr. Swift she was aware that at least was an unannounced guest. She moves with a quick pace to intercept the unknown man that entered the temple, Papa Zafai ,. With a natural caution she purposely puts herself between him and the Hierophant.

She glances at the man standing outside the door, Zé_ , a little suspicious of his behavior she motions for him to come to her so she can try to figure both of these men out at the same time. "Welcome to the Solstice? Can I ask your names?" her voice still stern but respectful.
