A fine autumn evening was no time for so cruel an alarm.
The text had come through while she was busy with an irrate delivery driver and studying the staff rota for next week.
An anxious glance to the text from Lance had caused a sinking feeling. A bomb? Here? Surely not! I check everything! How could I have missed it?
Tom, the eager new recruit, was swiftly tasked to deal with the delivery guy as Martha, feinging a sudden need to vomit, headed out...
Normal. No panic yet. No panic. People would die in a crush to escape...Stay calm. Warn the others: get the professionals in...
Blinking but resolute, Martha swiftly gathered her satchel grab bag and headed out to the nearest pay phone. Twin tails bob with some urgency as she limps along. Whizzing off texts as she headed to and from her mission to the pay phone.
After invoking Blush of Life and after actually running as best she could the yards distance to the nearest payhone, to help create the proper impression of an effort to control her personal panic, she dials 911 from the payphone. Martha conveys the following to the dispatcher, doing her best to sound a little rushed and confused...the anxiety for the welfare of others, though, is authentic:
"Oh, please help! I think I've just seen a suspicious package in the coatcheck room in the Avalon nightclub! I think it might be a bomb! Please hurry, I think there might be people there still. You know...at the Avalon...getting coats and things. I didn't want to call from there...you know how they say that sometimes the transmission signals from a mobile cellular 'phone might accidentally detonate a bomb! I was worried!"
Then, like a good, but not overly good, citizen seemingly momentarily concerned about both Civic Duty and self preservation, she hangs up.
After what happened recently to the Park's Dept building and...well...terrorism in general...she figured that'd be enough to get the experts along.
On the way back to the Avalon, Martha hastily casts off another text. This time to the Bailiff ( Tiffany ). Glad, though, that Alice and her friends would at least be safe and on their way to a nice camping trip.

Time to return to the Avalon and begin to help evacuate the mortals and see what on Earth is going on!
Whomever it was who had left the bomb there, she mused as she limped back to the Avalon to see who was there, they had best be at peace with their deity.
Martha began making her way back along the streets. Passing the blissfully unaware workers and commuters.
Keeping an eye on rooftops for snipers...for sharpshooters from cars and alleyways.
Half expecting the Avalon to explode as she approached, she tried to stay close to unobtrusive cover.
[[OOC: anyone evacing from the Avalon, etc, can feel free to join this new thread for post-bomb warning activity.]]
