Irea glided away from the spot of her previous conversation, four glasses tentatively balanced in her grasp, and stopped next to Yui. She smiled at her fellow courtier, her eyes gleaming with a peculiar glassy sheen, and followed his gaze. She was troubled by the conversation she just had, a worm of doubt gnawed at her insides. "That went very poorly," she murmured, her mouth barely moving as she uttered the words. The Darkling edged slightly closer to the ferret and respond as though she'd said nothing.

"Ah, but what will he do against the frigid water beneath? Has he a fire waiting at the ponds edge?"

Marcus stands straight once more and simply nods in agreement with his new king. The metalflesh knows that they have a lot on their collective plates right now. Soon, it would be time to tuck in.
