Alice nodded at Spartan's words, while turning to Gianna, reluctantly elaborating to the wizened.

"It also seemed as though it was trying to keep things from turning out the way they did. It informed the freehold that division among us was exactly what They wanted. It wondered if he even realized what it was that he had done," Alice paused for a moment in thought before continuing. "Then later it broke out some poem or rhyming verse with a warning. It advised summer had lost it's king and that seasons could not pass twice. It also gave an example that Autumn could not pass to Spring. Finally, It said the freehold must remain without a king until Autumn and that it would stay on the throne until then."

"Oh, poppycock!" Gianna declares as she turns to look att he throne before addressing the table once again. "Nothing but a trinket. Kings and queens come from the people, from in here," she says, tapping where her chest would be beneath her layers, "and from one's command of their Court, Season, Solstice or Direction." Gianna blinks and looks weary once more, removing her glasses to rub her eyes, folding them gently and laying them on the table. Without them on, the Wizened appears even smaller than normal. "I'm so sorry for the outburst, tiredness confuses me. But from an outsider looking in, I believe that if Rust Mane has stepped down, then the post is vacant. King Spartan has been chosen by the people of his Court, his people."

"Which begs the question, why does the Crown think it has a say in the matter?" That was, after all, the thing they needed to find out. And it was the reason they were all here. His own knowledge of the what exactly the Crown was, and was capable of, was unfortunately lacking. Hopefully he'd have a chance to rectify that in the future.

Katrin turned to look at Rick "I think it is safe to say that none of us know for sure. We need more information." Katrin paused and looked down. "HAL was the specialist with this kind of thing. However he had help at one point. Perhaps he would know?" Katrin pauses to think "What was his name? Cartwright? .... Carter? .... Cathcart. That's it Cathcart. Dr Cathcart."

She paused.

"He worked at one of the university's. I never met they guy, I just recall HAL talking about him."

Katrin looked up and flashed a brief smile. "I am not sure if he could be some use?"

Rick could only nod in agreement with Katrin's statement that they needed more information. The lack of it, perhaps, bothered him even more than it did all the other assembled Sovereigns. He was the Autumn King, he was the one who was supposed to know all that stuff. That he didn't, well, even if it was because it was because he'd never had a chance to learn those specifics it still rankled his pride.

He hadn't realized Marcus could make tokens, though. Certainly he knew that the Metalflesh was a skilled craftsman, just not that any of his works were supernatural. "Dr. Catchcart, I'll be sure to make a point of visiting him." A single, simple, sentence. But it showed that he acknowledged both Spartan's and Katrin's council, agreed with it, and intended to act on it.

Gianna stands slowly, wobbles and catches herself with a deft move of her cane as it smacks soundly upon the Hollow's floor. "Well, it seems I have stayed awake far longer than my elderly body can take. As for this discussion, I can only offer my limited vision, and it is thus. Every Token has a Catch and the wise understands every nuance therein." She looks at every Sovereign at the table and bows, as deep as she is able, before carefully turning and slowly heading towards the door.

"At least we have somewhere to start investigating. Lets hope that Dr Cathcart is still there and is willing to talk. We need more information before we can act with confidence in this situation. If we know what exactly we are dealing with those within the freehold with such knowledge have a chance of being able to deal with it."

She turned to rick and when he mentioned tracking down this gentleman. "If it wouldn't be a bother I would like to tag along. I may not be as schooled in pledges and crafting as others, but I'm interested in knowing just what this crown is and how to deal with it. Besides an extra set of eyes and ears might come in handy."

Alice nodded to gianna as she made to leave. While still uncertain of the woman she at least appeared as though she wished to help. "Take care of yourself."

Gianna stopped and looked back, directly at the Spring Queen.

"You too, my dear, you too."

It appeared she was smirking. Turning once more, the former Keeper of the Commons makes her way to the door and exits.
