From the outside The Forge looks like any other warehouse. There is no neon sign flashing “Come on in” or anything of that nature. But once you enter you walk into another world. The Forge is made from metal, wood and concrete. There is a main stage, made from Masonite and diamond plate. There is no comfort here, no trendy vibe or dancing girls. No Neon, strobe or smoke machines. [wiki]The Forge[wiki] is a shrine to two things, loud music and punishing bodies.

On the stage can be heard bands playing music to punish ear drums and test bodies. On the floor pits of people swirls and shove, rage and laugh. If someone falls, they are picked back up. If someone bleeds, well, blood happens.

Bodies bruise and people bleed, but no one is discounted or turned away. All are welcome into this shrine of Metal, Fire, Music and Combat. And if they are lucky, or have good timing, people will arrive on the second Sunday of the month. When a eight sided cage is set up in the middle of the room, and people fight. For those few moments men and women become gladiators of old.

Tonight is the Launch of this place. tonight Music and combat would ring reign. The Forge is lit and the fires they will burn.

This is a open thread to all venues. If you have any questions about the layout please check out the wiki page for The Forge. There is currently a MMA style cage set up in the middle of the floor but there is no one in it yet and no band on stage. Music is being played through the speakers and the bartenders are ready to take your order.

Rust is in the gather throng bashing the night away.
Spartan had said the King would enjoy it. and Rust did. The adrenaline, the ferocity, it was electric. Rust felt the Glamour out over the crowd and he drank deep as drowning man.

Eventally he pulls himself away and grabs a drink. Water, rather then beer simply becouse he knew it was better. A quick climb up to the mezanineand Rust peeks in to be sure he isn;t 'interrupting' anything. "Brother?"

Rust finishes his climb up the steps and turns to the right, opening the door to the office rather then walking out onto the mezanine proper. As he opens the door, he finds something he probably hoped he would never see. Spartan leaning against his desk, with Faith's legs wrapped around his waist. The woman's booted feet crossed, putting the Ogre in a body scissor; The couples' hands clasped, fingers intertwined, each struggling to gain some measure of leverage over the other. Of course, one of them was struggling more than the other; Faith's knuckles were white from tension and Spartan's Armored, but somehow muscled back had scratches on it. Perhaps the only saving grace of the entire tableau is that both are still clothed as they usually are, with Faith's more mundane outfit a sharp contrast to Spartan's copper breastplate and jeans.

"Give up, f**ker" the Flamesiren grunted as she tried to tighten her leg lock on him. The man was going to go down. Down, dammit, down! It's not that she wanted to harm him. Just, y'know... shake him up a little. "You're... going... down!"

"I am afraid not Faith." Spartan replies as he releases his hands from her grip and overpowers her, tossing her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. The woman yelps as she pulled up and hoisted, and when she looks up she realizes she's staring right into the Lion's eyes. "Hey Lion-O," she tells him off-hand, completely innocently, entirely ignoring her current predicament. "Party already started?"

Rust just nods, leaning against the door frame. "It would seem the party is up here. I haven't seen anyone yet." Rust cocks his head funny and then sighs to himself.

"Should I leave you two alone?"

Rook pushed his sunglasses firmly up his nose and headed into the Forge. Hey, it was the grand opening, he'd got the night off at 4Seasons, and it was a Summer thing. He wanted to show a bit of solidarity. But damnit, he wasn't going to end up jumping around like some drunk teenager. For a start, he was well aware what he physically looked like and how damned ridiculous that would be. And since humans would be around, he wasn't going to risk losing or breaking the mirrored sunglasses that covered his eyes.

The Metalflesh headed up to the bar, ordered a tap beer, and leant on the side wall to watch people start trickling in.

Cage matches. Other thing I can't do tonight. Goddamnit. Better keep my mouth shut and stay down.

Spartan turns, not bothering to set down Faith, "Hello Brother." Spartan says with a happy tone in his voice. Spartan was having fun, he was enjoying himself. And then he unceremoniously dropped faith on her keester.

Spartan walks over and pulls on a black button now shirt and rolls up the sleeves. "We should head out, Announcements need to be made and a fight needs to start." Spartan says as he wraps a arm around Rust's shoulder. Spartan waits and once Faith is ready Spartan makes his way out onto the mezzanine.

A microphone is hanging from the ceiling and Spartan takes the mic.

"Ladies, Gentleman, Savages and other species. I am Castor, welcome to The Forge. Tonight is the Grand Opening of this place. Our place. If you are here with us tonight you should be prepared. Tonight there will be loud, angry music. There will be alcohol. There will be combat. With combat comes sweat and blood.

Tonight there will be two bands, Shadow's Fall and Five Finger Death Punch. There will also be three professional fights from California Extreme Fighting."

Spartan pauses, the cheering of the people at the bands and the fights were getting to him. Spartan could not help but wonder if this is how the Romans felt when they announced the Gladiators. Spartan holds out his hands to quiet the crowd, "I have one other surprise for you all tonight. If you feel the need, if you are drawn to the cage, there will be the option for amateur fights. Speak with the bartender, sign on the line, and a fight will be arranged." Spartan said gesturing with his hand to bar.

"Remember the rules, If someone falls, pick them back up. What happens in the cage, stays in the cage. If you fight outside the cage, my brother," Gesturing to Rust, "My woman," Gesturing to Faith, "or I will deal with you." And yes Spartan said that knowing full well that Faith would hit him...

"Enjoy your night, Enjoy our place. And thank you all for coming tonight!" Spartan says and releases the microphone. As he does a guitar lick kicks in and Shadow's Fall takes the stage. As they do the first two Pro Fighters step into the cage and square off.

Neil slipped into The Forge, more out of professional curiosity than anything else. The music raked across the Fairest's senses like hot shards of stone; not his first choice, but not necessarily unpleasant. It wasn't that he didn't appreciate the genre, it was just often the refuge of the lazy -- musicians with more hair than talent.

Making his way to the bar, he looked Rook over.

"Man, you know you look like a Fed or something, right?"

Justin walked into The Forge and almost immediately headed over towards the bar. Getting a beer, he turned around and looked at the crowd.

The blond Elemental was wearing a t-shirt with the words LISTEN TO CKY emblazoned across the front, a worn pair of jeans, and a pair of Adio skater sneakers which had seen better days. Pushing his hair back from his face, Justin reminded himself, again, that he was there for the music and partying, not the fight side of the card.

The main reason he had decided to come out to the grand opening was, well....while he really didn't follow the bands, there was always the potential of a good mosh pit. The combat part was something he was less stoked about....the Manikin could remember back to his days There, when his usefulness to The Talent Scout was coming to an end and he wound up being sold to a Lady with a serious gambling problem...and those experiences put things into a very nasty level of perspective for him. In a way, MMA matches were almost comical compared to some of the astronomically hardcore pit fights he had witnessed, and experienced, towards the end of his Durance. One could almost say, in his particular situation, it was like throwing a Lamborghini into a demolition derby featuring 80's era sedans. Sometimes manueverabilty didn't mean shit against weight and brute force.

The cyborg Manikin shook his head. No matter how skilled a human fighter was, they would always be outclassed by someone, or something, which had been touched by the supernatural. It was one of the reasons he had stepped away from his chances at going pro with snowboarding -- all of his upgrades had given him an unfair advantage as he saw it.

Still, he figured that if he watched the rounds closely enough he could possibly pick up some new moves. One never knew when that sort of thing could come in handy.

Rook looked at the Fairest who approached him and took another drink from his glass as he assessed the other Lost's unusual mantle. Rook had never met a representative of a Court that wasn't the main four, so it was pretty much lost on him, but he'd heard rumours.

"So I've heard," the Metalflesh said, his voice amicable. "I just feel more comfortable in a suit. They call me Rook. You?"
