Belle can't help but feel a bit smug as Crystal partakes in a bit of banter. "Only on weekends; never without a designated driver." Even if she might not always understand the bittersweet Warlock, she was glad to have him on her side. Let's just hope sides aren't needed here...ever. Apollo's comment about name tags prompts a bit of a giggle. "Why stop there? We should invest in color-coding. I'm sure the Orders had some kind of dominant color scheme at some point."

But eventually business commences, and Belle notices that Crystal doesn't immediately step up but stands by. Content to listen for the time being. Though it aches a bit to see her Counsilor standing by, she can't begrudge him the need to think before joining the discussion. Especially considering what immediately follows...

Corn, naturally, takes the lead. No surprises there. The Matter-minded Moros pushes for change. Phoenyx brings the discussion back down to earth. Again, no surprises. She also address Zero's qualifications for the Sentinel position, though Belle notices Phoenyx doesn't say anything about the role of Herald. A vote of confidence? Apollo and Puck seem determined to second-guess every decision made by the rest of the Consilium. No comment. Though her mood brightens when Aurora gracefully meets the discussion in the middle. For someone who claimed not to have much interest in the spotlight, the Shaman commanded it well when it was shone on her.

Belle looks over to Crystal. Not so much asking permission with her expression but giving a brief moment to say 'Were you gonna say anything? 'Cause if not...

Oh shit, this was really going to be one of those again. Then again, Corn did warn them that he was going to get contentious today. He was totally comfortable just listening to points being exchanged for the moment.

Then Phoenyx took the stage and announced a few things that had the possibility of being less grounds for arguments. But speaking of the Obrimos: where was Winter?

Apollo, Puck, and Aurora butted in with their opinions and that left only Crystal to speak. It also gave him the opportunity to maybe put a lid on things, so he waited for Zeromancer to finish and then got up.

Having returned to the seats, Corn found his way close to Crystal and Aurora.
"Speaking of the Obrimos - where is Winter ? Last time I asked, Aurora said there is no reason to worry. " he whispered to Crystal and looked towards the Thyrsus councilor.
"But... it's been months since we saw him last and while that is by no means indicative that something bad happened ... we have a potential Banisher going around and Winter had said he will look into it."
He made no mention of their votes on the matter.

Corn is not aware that Winter is fine and thinks there may be reasons to worry. The player of Corn knows there are OOC reasons for the absence.

The topic on extra officials was dropped thankfully and even the fall-out of egos was kept surprisingly mellow this time. Props to Corn to sticking to his promise. Also, Apollo seemed to have a good head on his shoulders. Maybe Aurora would find herself a get-out-of-Councilor-card after all.

Phoenyx then brings up her business. She was totally right, but damn maybe she was being a bit too honest for her own good. Either way, Crystal had his opinion on the matter, but he would wait for the other Councilors to speak first. It felt more sensible that way.

When Corn whispered to him, Crystal just barely managed to hold in a sigh. Not because he didn't like the Moros, but because he did. The acoustics of the Circle were way too good, so chances were the whispering was heard anyway and get him into trouble. Unjustified trouble, maybe, but going by the last Consilium it felt like people had a pretty set opinion on him - to the point where anything he added would fuel the fire.
"Don't know." Crystal whispered back, leaving out the 'don't care'. "Maybe he moved on, it happens."

And then he did something potentially stupid. He felt like he needed to nip any further discussions in the bud, so he reached out to his watchtower to create a mental connection with the Moros. At least he had the knowledge and sense to cloak the spell and make it less obvious.

Whelp. Maybe he should practice a bit more: he wasn't able to properly form the Imago and will it into existence and he really didn't want to stretch his luck further.
He'd just have to wait and see what happens.

The libertine sat and watched as the Councilors chatted, a pleasant if almost surprised expression on his face. Where the hell had this been the last few meetings? If anything, it gave him a bit of hope for the future. It looked like actual dialogue was occurring, actual work, and actual progress. He was almost certain some version of "thank fuck" was readable on his expression.

But he also knew he was the odd duck out in a small consillium and that meant sitting, watching, and waiting.

Crystal takes the bait steps up to say his piece and...it looks like Herald will have to wait.

Is Belle disappointed? A little, honestly. She was looking forward to the chance to take a bigger role in the community. But she nods approvingly all the same. After all, if she's qualified then the offer will come again eventually.

Crystal and Corn sit down from the Speakers and Belle can't help but silently giggle as the two of them try to have a secret conversation in the magic council chamber. Oh you guys. You crack me up. Still, she has to give Corn props for knowing when to step out and let nature take its course.

Speaking of nature...Aurora puts her foot down and it takes all of Belle's composure to not
fist-pump and yowl like she's at the Super Bowl. Even though no spells were cast, Aurora spoke with all the power and authority of an experienced Mage who knew how to convert frustration into real, actionable leadership. Freakin' badass! She looks over to Nevermore in the stands and gives a head nod over to the Shaman as if to say I love this woman.

Perhaps this would inspire some positive chance in the Consilium? A Warlock can only hope. Or if not, then perhaps she'll know how to step up next time?

Puck turns his back to Aurora and Phoenyx, done with whatever they had to say and walking towards the door.

    "Later bitches."

He doesn't bother looking at anyone. He does however throw both his hands up to flip the bird at the growing number of people behind him as he leaves.

Puck doesn't wait for, acknowledge, or respond to anyone else before exiting the scene.

The Consilium drew to an end - there were no threats of duels, no sentences and punishments dished out this time.

    So that was something.
