As far as Corn could tell, there were no Sleepers within sight or earshot.. which was probably good, unless it tempted them to speak too openly about stuff they probably shouldn't.
The three Mages made their way over to the iron gate of the property and found it unlocked. The winds of change seemed to be blowing in their favour tonight.

The house itself was dark and exuded an air of abandonment, but if Corn or Belle would tell as much they knew that their primary goal to start looking was the garden - or more precisely: the willow tree in the back of the garden. The latter was in even worse shape than a few months ago, weeds and dried grass had grown without much of an attempt to tame them.
For those who had been here already the willow wasn't hard to locate, even in the darkness of the night: at the far end of the garden stood one of the few trees, hiding a place of reverence and love back then and potential answers now.

Corn takes out his flashlight but doesn't turn it on.
"I expect most defenses have run out of power by now, but better safe than sorry." he said as he keeps his eyes on the ground and pays attention to his supernatural senses in case the Banisher left any "tricks" for them.

Paging Belle .

The little light provided by the sky (or rather: by the light pollution of the area) was enough for the Arrow to notice it: the dry grass has been disturbed. A moment later Corn noticed it too, keeping his attention on the ground. It looked like some has been here, at least somewhat recently. Phoenyx could also tell that there were many prints in the grass. Either someone has been going back and forth or it was the work of more than one person.

It was too dark to tell for sure, but it looked like the traces were leading to the willow tree.

Belle's so focused on finding arcane disturbances that she misses anything else in the world around her. But thankfully her compatriots are a bit more focused.

"Here." Phoenyx says, keeping her voice low and pointing to the floor. "Several tracks, heading around the back. Looks like there may be more than one here."

She draws her gun and waves for the others to follow her. The Obrimos proceeds in that direction, following the trail, moving as softly as she can. Almost as if Obrimos were direct, or something.

"Could these be tracks of random passerby that took an interest in the place? Or perhaps the tracks of our guy that he may have gone and returned several times?" Corn asked Phoenyx .
When Belle mentions the willow tree, Corn nods. "Yeap, that's where the entrance is."

A thought crossed his mind. "Phoenyx, assuming we overpower the apostate. If we seal his ears and put a sack cloth over his eyes, would we be safe from his magic? I think without the space arcanum, one cannot cast where his mundane senses don't reach. "

Phoenyx effortlessly moved across the grass without making any sound, but Corn did nothing to hide their advancement as he asks questions and shares observations. If they counted on an element of surprise it most likely was gone now.

As if on cue there was a whisper of leaves coming from the tree as the group of Banisher-hunters approached. With around 10 to 15 yards to spare, they could see the branches of the willow part and a man walk out. Although it was hard to say in the darkness, Belle and Corn could be pretty sure that the silhouette matched that of the man they met a few months ago.

It was hard to say for sure, but his movements seemed relaxed and deliberate. He came to a halt a step beyond the tree-branches and looked in the direction of Belle, Corn, and Phoenyx. "So that dream was right after all." Was he talking to them? He didn't speak loud enough to make it seem that way, but but maybe he was just keen on keeping a low profile out in the open.

Either way, the person they were after was right in front of them now.

Apparently the winds of Fate interpreted Belle's wish to be 'put the guy up in broad daylight'. Just as well; Belle's not in the mood for a long hunt.

But maybe for a bloodless one...

Belle weaves Mind magic around her words to hopefully pacify their would-be Banisher and make him more amenable to friendly conversation. "Hello, friend! What brings you to this part of town?" There's a bit of force behind her bright smile as she lays on the charm thick as clay. "Are you lost?"

The Arrow leers behind at Corn as she advances. "Shut. Up." her incredulous whisper is almost a sharp hiss. Did he have no concept of stealth? "Do you want them to..."

She is cut off by the rustle of leaves and her head snaps back in front of them as the man approaches. ".... hear us," she finishes lamely, no longer bothering to keep her voice low. The Head Mysterium's questions remain unanswered.

Idiot. And this man looks relaxed. This feels like a trap.

She keeps her gun pointed towards the ground away from any of them, watching the man and assessing him. Now it seemed they were into negotiation, Phoenyx was perfectly happy to let others do the talking. She was there in case things went badly.
